
Beloved audience favorites are set to return: Käärijä and Baby Lasagna, both crowd-vote winners and runners-up, will perform as guest acts at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
A post published on the official Eurovision social media channels revealed that two of the contest’s most prominent stars in recent years, Käärijä and Baby Lasagna, will appear at Eurovision 2025 as part of one of the interval acts. Käärijä, who represented Finland at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, England. with the song “Cha Cha Cha”, secured first place in the public vote and finished second overall-a result that marked Finland’s best performance since its 2006 only victory. In addition, Käärijä also performed as a guest at Eurovision 2024, held in Malmö, Sweden.
Joining him on stage will be Baby Lasagna, who represented Croatia at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”. He too won the public vote and finished second in the final – Croatia’s highest-ever ranking in Eurovision history. The two, known as close friends and as the contest’s biggest audience favorites in recent years, managed to capture the hearts of viewers across Europe, despite not winning first place.
The participation of Käärijä and Baby Lasagna in Eurovision 2025 is expected to generate significant interest among fans, especially given their recent success and widespread popularity. Their appearance at Eurovision 2025 underscores the contest’s status as a leading international music event, uniting prominent artists from across the continent and providing a stage for performers who have made a lasting impression on the public.

Eurovision 2025: A Lineup of Stars
Käärijä and Baby Lasagna will join a nostalgic and exciting lineup of stars recently announced for the upcoming Eurovision. Among the artists are Jamala – Ukraine’s representative and the 2016 Eurovision winner, Jørgen Olsen – winner of Eurovision 2000 as part of the Olsen Brothers duo, The Roop – Lithuania’s representatives in 2020 and 2021, Samira Efendi – Azerbaijan’s representative in 2020 and 2021, Destiny Chukunyere – Malta’s representative in 2020 and 2021, and Nemo Mettler – the most recent Eurovision winner who represented Switzerland in 2024.
The Swiss national broadcaster, SRG SSR, is spearheading an initiative to bridge generations by featuring artists who have left a mark on the contest. During one of the semi-final broadcasts, a special joint performance will bring together four iconic Swiss representatives: Paola Del Medico (Switzerland’s representative in 1969 and 1980), Peter Reber from the trio Peter, Sue & Marc (Switzerland’s representatives in 1971, 1976, 1979, and 1981), Luca Hänni (Switzerland’s 2019 representative), and Gjon’s Tears (representative in 2020 and 2021). Together, they will perform a festive medley dedicated to Switzerland’s Eurovision history.
Additionally, it was announced that the first semi-final will open with a large-scale performance featuring 45 artists, showcasing various facets of Swiss culture and society – traditional, modern, and intergenerational. Finland at Eurovision 2023
Käärijä, who won the Finnish national selection, represented Finland with his song “Cha Cha Cha.” Finland qualified for the grand final after winning the first semi-final with 177 points, and ultimately finished second in the grand final with a total of 526 points.
This marks Finland’s second-best result in Eurovision history and its best achievement since winning the contest in 2006. It was also the second time Finland won a semi-final. Croatia at Eurovision 2024
“Rim Tim Tagi Dim” is the song performed by singer Baby Lasagna, who was chosen to represent Croatia after winning the national selection, Dora 2024. Croatia advanced to the grand final after winning the first semi-final with 177 points, and ultimately finished in second place in the grand final with a total of 547 points. Croatia won the public televote, but after the combined results, finished as the runner-up. This marks Croatia’s best result in its history of participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision 2025: The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025. The St. Jakobshalle arena, which will host the competition, is expected to accommodate about 12,000 spectators for each show. The contest will take place in Switzerland following the country’s third historical win with the song “The Code”, performed by singer Nemo. This will be the third time the competition has been hosted in Switzerland, after the contest was held there in 1956 and 1989..
