Lithuania at Eurovision 2025: Katarsis won “Eurovizija.LT 2025” and will perform “Tavo akys” on the Eurovision 2025 stage. Listen to the song.
“Tavo akys” (translated as: “Your Eyes”) is the song that will be performed by Katarsis representing Lithuania in the first half of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025 on May 15th in Basel, Switzerland. The song was written solely by the lead vocalist Lukas Radzevičius. This is the songwriter’s first entry in the Eurovision competition. The song is performed in Lithuanian.
The performance on the national selection stage began with blue light and a cloud effect surrounding the lead singer, his vocals chilling as the drum rhythm starts. The rest of the band members accompany him with amazing energy. During the chorus, the stage lighting goes wild, creating a mesmerizing illusion. The graphics on the screen show stones or rocks floating in the air, giving a sense of time standing still. The song deals with emotional pain and the consequences of empty and false words that ignite the flames of mental suffering, describing the internal destruction they cause.
The song uses dramatic metaphors to depict the devastating effects of empty and false words in interpersonal relationships. Imagery is used as a symbol for the emotional and physical destruction caused by aggression and lies in relationships. The description of the collapsing house reflects the ongoing disintegration of mental stability and trust in one another, highlighting the turbulent emotions that accompany the internal battle.
In the second part of the song, the dialogue between the narrator’s “range of vision” and the pain they see in the other’s eyes indicates a dynamic of empathy and deep understanding, but also the inability to alleviate the pain in practice. The song paints a picture of helplessness and coping with the burden of foreign pain. The repetition expresses a willingness to stand by the other in moments of weakness and uncertainty, while maintaining a deep emotional connection even in times of crisis.
The band won the Lithuanian national selection held last night (Saturday) and competed against 12 other contestants, with Katarsis reaching first place in the public vote.

“Tavo Akys” Lyrics:
Tuščios kalbos tik didina ugnį
Dega namai
Jie pradeda griūti
Iš akių ji didžiausią liūtį
Visko pamatai
Jau pradėjo pūti
Tik saugot
Ją
Tavo akys mato skausmą
Mano akims tik duoda jausmą
Tavo akys mato skausmą
Mano akims tik duoda jausmą
Tavo akys mato skausmą
Mano akims tik duoda jausmą
Tavo akys mato skausmą
Mano akims tik duoda jausmą
Tu nebijok
Tavo sapnuose verkiu
Tik tavo sapnuose verkiu
Tu nebijok
Tavo sapnuose verkiu
Tik tavo sapnuoѕe verkiu
Tavo, tavo, tаvo…
