Albania’s Eurovision 2025 representatives, Shkodra Elektronike, held their second rehearsal in Basel with the song “Zjerm“. Stay tuned for all updates from Switzerland.

Shkodra Elektronike, Albania’s representative, were the twelfth act to rehearse today on the Eurovision 2025 stage with their song “Zjerm“. Shkodra Elektronike will perform as song number 12 in the first semi-final, scheduled for May 13th.

In the brief segment revealed, the singer Beatrice demonstrates strong vocal control as she stands center stage, accompanied by white “boxes” on which the drummer, Lekë, performs. The LED screens split the stage in two, with one section in black and white and the other in red. Various geometric shapes are projected on the LED screens. Overall, the stage direction appears quite simple and not particularly impressive, with the stage looking rather empty. The specific segment we saw is somewhat disappointing.

Innovative Stage Design and Visual Effects

As mentioned, the performance is very different from the one in the national selection. The two main colors that remain are red and black, which appear on the LED screens, in the set design, on the stage floor, and in the frame – all in various geometric forms. This time, the stage is used in an unconventional way: the mountains at the back of the stage have been lowered, and the front part is elevated, creating a sharp contrast with the black and white lighting.

Lekë is positioned mainly at the front of the stage, while Beatrice moves around, not giving up on the “voguing” dance, though with slight changes. The Albanian song stands out for its drum and bass foundation, which adds musical depth and interest to the performance. Albania maintains ethnic authenticity throughout the show, even in the smallest details: Beatrice will wear a red satin dress with a corset and sequins, specially sewn by her mother, and will wear a red glove on her right hand. Lekë will wear a military-style jacket with a double lapel, creating an especially impressive and glamorous stage look.
