The MancHagen Eurovision Festival is set to arrive in Manchester in April 2025, featuring a series of unique performances and festive celebrations. Scheduled for April 11-13, the event is a collaboration between Manchester’s Eurovision Festival and its Copenhagen counterpart. The festival will include two main concerts featuring some of the competing artists from the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Switzerland, along with well-known artists from past competitions.
Three Days of Eurovision Extravaganza
The event will span three days, offering a variety of performances, parties, and activities throughout Manchester, including two famous performance venues in the city. The festival events will be held in collaboration with the Ukrainian cultural organization “United By You”, and will include a celebratory yellow carpet parade featuring the various artists participating in the event.
Star-Studded Hosting and Entertainment
The hosting of the Manchester Eurovision Festival will include several prominent figures from the world of entertainment and Eurovision. One of the main hosts revealed is Blu Hydrangea, star of the hit show “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” and winner of the first season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World.” Blu will lead the main concert on April 12. Interactive Experiences and Family Fun
Alongside the main performances, the festival will also offer additional experiential activities such as drag shows, choreography lessons, Eurovision quizzes, and family-friendly activities. Eurovision fans can also enjoy bingo games, karaoke, and children’s activities, including face painting and costume dress-up.
The festival organizers noted that the event is expected to attract about 5,500 visitors from around the world, making it the second-largest pre-Eurovision event in the world, after Amsterdam. Additionally, there is a partnership with Copenhagen, which successfully hosted the festival for the first time in 2024, featuring over 40 artists and proving to be a resounding success.
Sponsorship Opportunities and Ticket Sales
The organizers have also issued an official request for sponsorship to ensure the event’s success. They are seeking financial support to cover the costs of venue and stage rentals, estimated at around £10,000 for the festival days. Sponsors will benefit from extensive exposure through social media promotion, official festival websites, and at the events themselves, offering high visibility to the global Eurovision audience. Sponsorship also includes year-round brand promotion opportunities, with integration into various events, including the Eurovision final broadcast on giant walls with an augmented reality experience.
Tickets for the event are already available for early sale at discounted prices until October 31.
