After confirming its participation in Eurovision 2025, Serbian national broadcaster RTS reveals new details about their national selection “Pesma Za Evroviziju 2025”.

In July, Serbian national broadcaster RTS announced that Serbia would participate in Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, and opened the submission window for its national selection, “Pesma Za Evroviziju 2025”. Now, new details about the selection process have been revealed, including the date for choosing the representative for Eurovision 2025.

In an interview with Serbian media, the producer of the national selection, Olivera Kovačević, reveals that the final of “Pesma Za Evroviziju 2025” will take place on March 1st. The event will include two semi-finals, with the winner representing Serbia at Eurovision 2025. Additionally, the selection will feature between 26 and 36 songs, with the names of the participants to be announced in December.

Kovačević believes that Eurovision is an event with a rich tradition and history, and she aims to promote the Serbian national selection, “Pesma za Evroviziju,” until it becomes a tradition in its own right. She states, “Eurovision has a rich history; it’s a long-standing tradition. We would like our national selection to become such a tradition as well. We’ve received very positive feedback from Eurovision fans, and also from Eurovision experts, who believe that our selection is one of the three best national selections, which is, of course, a great honor.”

Submission Process and Selection Criteria

The submission window for the national selection will remain open until November 1st, 2024.
