Surprisingly, the producer replied: “The participants in the national selection will be announced this week. The hosts after the New Year.”

High-Quality Submissions

About a month ago, Kovačević was interviewed alongside music editor Uroš Marković on a local television program. The duo disclosed that many well-known artists in Serbia had submitted songs for the competition, and that they faced a challenging task in selecting 28 contestants for the national selection. In the interview, they mentioned receiving many high-quality songs from numerous recognized performers for the pre-selection contest, but were not yet able to name names.

Selection Process

The national broadcaster’s team now faces the task of narrowing down the 222 submissions to just 28 contestants. These finalists will perform in two Semi-Finals scheduled for February 25 and 27, with the final set for March 1. This rigorous selection process aims to ensure that Serbia sends its best possible entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
