The second semi-final stage in the Lithuanian Eurovision national selection, “Eurovizija.LT”, is setting out today! Eight artists will compete tonight for two places in the final. The results will be determined by public voting (50%) and judges’ voting (50%). The semi-final will take place in the Lithuanian National Broadcaster LRT studios in Vilnius, hosted by Gabriele Martirosian, Augustė Nombeko, and Rimvydas Černiauskas.

The semi-final will begin at 20:00 and continue until 22:00 CET.

This year, 45 contestants will participate in the Lithuanian Eurovision pre-selection. Similar to Melodifestivalen, this year’s format spans six broadcasts – five semi-finals and a final. Each semi-final will feature nine songs, with two songs advancing to the final from each show, selected through a mix of public votes (50%) and jury votes (50%). Additionally, the judges’ scores for each show will only be revealed at the end, to prevent influence on the viewer voting.

Tonight’s Contestants

Austėja Lukaitė was eliminated from the selection process due to her absence on the filming day of this semi-final, where she was originally included as a participant, due to a flu. She was not replaced, resulting in only eight contestants in this semi-final instead of the usual nine.

Among the contestants tonight are several familiar names:

• Vilija Matačiūnaitė – Lithuania’s representative for Eurovision 2014 with the song “Attention“, who finished 11th in the second semi-final and failed to qualify for the grand final.
• Petunija – participated in several editions of the Lithuanian Eurovision national selection, with the most recent being in 2023 with the song “Love Of My Life“, reaching fourth place in the local grand final.
• Noy – participated in the Lithuanian national selection in 2023 with the song “Destiny’s Child” and was eliminated in the first semi-final stage, finishing ninth out of ten participants.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Lithuania’s 26th participation in Eurovision. Lithuania joined the contest in 1994 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2006 when the band “LT United” finished in sixth place with the song “We Are The Winners.”
