The Irish national broadcaster, RTÉ, has revealed the list of contestants for the Irish national final, “Eurosong 2025”, which will select the Irish representative for Eurovision 2025, scheduled for February 7th. As in previous years, the national selection will take place as part of the talk show “The Late Late Show”, with the winner selected by a combination of national juries, international juries, and televote. Along with the list of contestants, the full songs have also been released. Listen to the songs!

Meet the Contestants
- Bobbi Arlo – Bobbi Arlo’s musical style is described as energetic, combining club music with particularly personal and deep lyrics. Her writing is described as unique and passionate, and she has achieved great success in the Irish music industry, alongside various nominations such as Song of the Year and winning Artist of the Year, performing both in Ireland and across Europe.
- Reylta – Reylta’s musical style is described as deeply rooted in Irish tradition and heritage. She described her song for the competition as magical, sharing that it depicts the feelings we experience when meeting someone for the first time. Reylta has been performing with her band since 2017, and after two years released her first solo single. She has been singing since she can remember and writing songs from a very young age, including for music competitions. In October, she also released her debut album.
- Adgy – Adgy returns to the Irish national selection after competing in 2023 with the song “Too Good for Your Love” and finishing fifth out of six contestants. His song for this year’s competition is a Celtic pop song, produced by Ivan Klymenko, who also wrote the Ukrainian song that won Eurovision 2022, “Stefania”, and the song that brought Ukraine third place in Eurovision 2024, “Teresa & Maria”. The singer is signed to famous record labels and has already recorded over 12 million listens on various music platforms.
- Samantha Mumba – Samantha, who shared her immense excitement about participating in the national selection, revealed that she had been thinking about Eurovision for years, and that now is the time to step out of her comfort zone and challenge herself. The singer-songwriter rose to fame in her youth in 2000 when she released the hit “Gotta Tell You” which reached high in the music charts in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and after her debut album sold over four million copies.
- EMMY – EMMY, the young singer from Norway, is not new to the Eurovision world. She participated in the Norwegian national selection “Melodi Grand Prix 2021”, where she reached the final but did not advance to the final stages, with the song “Witch Woods”. The choice to try to represent Ireland this year came after she met an Irish songwriter at a songwriting camp who wrote her song for the competition, along with her brother. Today, EMMY is known for singing on TikTok, where she has 1.2 million followers.
- NIYL – NIYL’s musical style is described as a unique combination of a very emotional voice and electronic sound, a blend that turns his creations into powerful, cinematic, and original works. As an artist who identifies as queer, he wants to promote this topic in the Irish music industry, with his debut album expected to be released later this year.
Ireland in Eurovision 2024
Bambie Thug represented Ireland at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Doomsday Blue.” The song was chosen through the national pre-selection. Ireland advanced to the final after placing third in the first semi-final with 124 points, and in the grand final, they finished sixth with 278 points.
This marks the first time since 2018 that Ireland has qualified for the final, and it is the country’s best result since 2000.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Ireland’s 58th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Ireland joined the competition in 1965 and has won it seven times over the years, holding the record for most wins alongside Sweden. Ireland’s last victory was in Eurovision 1996 with the song “The Voice” performed by singer Eimear Quinn.
