Members of the Euromix editorial team convened to vote for the competing songs in Eurovizija.LT 2025. Who should represent Lithuania at Eurovision according to the editorial team?

The Lithuanian Eurovision national selection, “Eurovizija.LT 2025”, is set to take place tonight at 20:30, featuring 12 contestants. The winner of this local competition will represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. In anticipation of this event, Euromix editorial team members gathered to listen to the participating songs and select their favorites from the Lithuanian national selection.

Editorial Picks: Who Should Represent Lithuania?

Avi Zaikaner: First Place – Gebrasy – “Whole”

What can I say about Lithuania? Not a particularly strong Eurovision pre-selection! Nevertheless, Gebrasy returns again to the Eurovision pre-selection, this time with an electro-pop song called “Whole”. The vocal performance in the semi-final was excellent. The lighting, LED screens, and the dancer managed to immerse me in the song’s atmosphere. It’s a great performance, although it’s not expected to reach very high at Eurovision.

Ofek Jerassi: First Place – Lion Checcah – “Drobe”

After 4 consecutive qualifications to the final, Lithuania disappoints with a relatively low-quality national selection, where it’s doubtful if the winning song will manage to qualify them for the final. My winning candidate in the selection is Lion Ceccah, who brings a dramatic and partly experimental pop song, with some potential for an imaginative staging. The rest of the songs are almost certainly not going to qualify for the final and will bring Lithuania to a low achievement.

Ronnie Glik: First Place – Katarsis – “Tavo Akys”

This year again, the song “Tavo Akys” by Katarsis from the Lithuanian Eurovision pre-selection is an emotional and touching musical creation, wonderfully combining a gentle rock style with deep touches of sadness. The sweeping melody and honest lyrics manage to penetrate the listener’s heart, creating a powerful and unforgettable musical experience. In addition to his vocal talent, the band’s lead singer stands out with his impressive and charismatic appearance, radiating a strong and attractive stage presence. His polished performance and unique style add another layer of depth and interest to the song, managing to captivate the audience from the first second. The emotional depth and universality of the theme, together with the meticulous musical performance, can sweep Europe and bring Lithuania a significant achievement in the competition.

Guy Solo: First Place – Liepa – “Ar Myletum”

Ugh, Lithuania. What happened to all the good songs? All your iconic entries? It’s really disappointing. Feels like they didn’t even try this year. The only one who can somehow do something with a good revamp is Liepa with the song “Ar mylėtum” (in English: “Would you love?”). She barely made it to the final from the fourth heat, but managed to advance with the help of a wildcard. The song deals with fears and questions about true love, the way we deal with personal changes and their impact on romantic relationships. The song reflects the fear of losing love over time and the changes that may occur in personal identity. With a good vocal performance and dynamic staging, Liepa should represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2025! (But seriously, try a little harder next year, okay?)

Aviad Berger: First Place – Petunija – “I salduma”

Among all of Lithuania’s songs, I chose Petunija’s song this year as the best candidate to represent the country. It’s the most interesting, special, and beautiful song in this selection, and it’s a difficult task because overall it’s a great selection.

Maayan Eli: First Place – Liepa – “Ar Myletum”

The Lithuanian selection is weak this year. You could say I chose “Ar mylétum?” not because it’s particularly unique or interesting, it’s simply the best among many not-good songs. Liepa has a beautiful voice and she holds the high notes. The electronic parts of the song are predictable and generic but they blend nicely with her voice. The performance itself is beautiful but there’s room for improvement.

Tal Dahan: First Place – Petunija – “I salduma”

I chose Petunija’s song, an excellent singer who already competed in the Lithuanian Eurovision selection two years ago, has since released additional quality music and in my opinion is not appreciated enough. The singer pays homage to Lithuanian culture and language, and the song combines old and new in terms of arrangement, becoming more modern as the song progresses. I doubt the song’s success at Eurovision, but it’s the song I connected with the most among the selection’s songs.

Shahar Asido: First Place – Black Biceps – “Visaip man reik

There’s no doubt that the Lithuanian selection is one of my guilty pleasures and I really love what they show in their broadcasts. My top three are very special each in their own field: Sophie Ali with the charm and innocence, Petunija with the amazing charisma and singing in the original language. But for first place I decided to put the amazing band Black Biceps, from the first moment I watched their performance they simply lifted the atmosphere, it’s an upbeat and joyful band performing impressive Lithuanian rap and I hope we’ll get to see them in Basel!

Noy Yehoyada: First Place – Noy – “Just Take Me on a Date”

I chose the song “Just take me on a date” by Noy because it was necessary. My name is Noy, his name is Noy, we’re both extremely kitsch, and honestly he has the best song in Lithuania’s selection. Many people sent me the song because of the singer’s name, and I was sure I wouldn’t like it at first because I usually don’t connect with relatively calm songs, but the song just got stuck in my head after hearing it once and I realized there’s no choice but to choose it. Besides all these reasons, I really want to win something related to Eurovision – I told Nojus that the name “Noy” will bring him luck, and I hope that indeed will happen.
