United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025: Director Ace Bowerman will stage United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2025 performance. What other Eurovision performances is she working on this year? All details in the article.
This week it was confirmed on “The Euro Trip Podcast” that the successful director Ace Bowerman will be responsible for the performance of the British representatives, the girl group Remember Monday, on the Eurovision stage. But she won’t be responsible for just their performance this year. The successful director will also direct this year the performance of Azerbaijan’s representatives, the band Mamagama, who will perform the song “Run With U” on the Eurovision stage.
Ace Bowerman – Who are you?
Ace Bowerman is a successful creative director based in London. Her resume includes work with artists like Dua Lipa, the Korean girl group Blackpink, Ed Sheeran, Bebe Rexha, and more. Additionally, she has worked on performances for successful TV shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “The Late Late Show”, also known as the Irish Eurovision national selection. The choice of Bowerman, who is also directing for another country this year, reflects her global success and work with many well-known artists. This will be her first experience directing for Eurovision.
The songs of the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan this year are very different in style. Their music videos and the visual style they use are very far from each other, and perhaps that’s why there’s no clear conflict of interest in choosing the same creative director. What’s certain is that Bowerman will be especially busy this year and will be rushing from rehearsal to rehearsal. Will her direction give a fight to the low ranking both countries are currently in? We’ll have to wait and see.
United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025
The song “What The Hell Just Happened?” is the name of the song that will be performed by the girl group Remember Monday, who will represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025. The group will perform the song in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025 which will take place on May 15th in Basel, Switzerland. Since they represent one of the “Big Five” – they automatically advance to the grand final on May 17th. The song was written by the band members along with Thomas Stengaard, who wrote the winning Eurovision 2013 song “Only Teardrops“, Julie Aagaard who wrote Austria’s songs in 2024 “We Will Rave” (24th place in the grand final) and Malta’s song in 2022, “I Am What I Am” (16th place in the semi-final). The song is performed in English.
The song describes a wild night of partying and mayhem, where the speaker experiences a series of crazy and unexpected events. The song expresses the desire to break free from everyday constraints, experience extreme situations, and feel freedom, even if it involves irresponsible or dangerous behavior.
These days Britain is ranked 14th in the betting tables ahead of Eurovision 2025. Listen to the British song for Eurovision 2025:
