Latvia’s Eurovision 2025 representatives, Tautumeitas, held their second rehearsal in Basel with the song “Bur Man Laimi.” Stay tuned for all updates from Switzerland.

Tautumeitas, Latvia‘s representatives, were the fourth act to rehearse today on the Eurovision 2025 stage with their song “Bur Man Laimi.” Tautumeitas will perform as song number 4 in the second semi-final, scheduled for May 15th.

Tautumeitas is a six-member ethno-pop ensemble blending traditional Latvian folk tunes with modern rhythms. From the opening harmonies, their voices fill the empty arena with a magical resonance. “Bur Man Laimi” translates to “A Chant for Happiness,” and the entire performance carries an enchanting, almost mystical energy.

In the short rehearsal clip, the group members are seen lining up and performing wave-like movements in perfect harmony, matching their singing. They then form a circle as the camera angle shifts, and a water explosion animation appears on the floor, creating a particularly dramatic effect.

A Magical Routine and Outfit Changes:

In fact, the routine remains nearly identical to what we saw at Supernova. The differences are minimal. The lighting, however, feels more intense and striking, and at one point, the LED wall creates animal-like tails for the group, which requires precise positioning on stage. They pull it off perfectly, and the effect is visually impressive.

The group’s outfits have also changed. Instead of the airy dresses from Supernova, Tautumeitas are now dressed in coordinated gold bodysuits with branch and fin-inspired detailing, topped with stunning gold headpieces that illuminate and shift colors throughout the song.

A low-lying fog is used to enhance the magical and mystical vibe.‎‏

Latvia in Eurovision 2025

Bur Man Laimi” is the title of the song that will be performed by band Tautumeitas, who will represent Latvia in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025, taking place on May 15th in Basel, Switzerland. The song was written and composed by Asnate Rancāne, Aurēlija Rancāne, Elvis Lintiņš and Laura Līcīte. The song is performed in Latvian, and this is the first song Latvia has sent in its native language since 2004!

Bur Man Laimi” is a song that blends traditional Latvian folk melodies with more modern sounds. Tautumeitas sing about curses and exes that cannot destroy them. They typically wear headdresses and crowns in all their performances, and here too they have a “crown” decoration on their heads, which is more reminiscent of nymphs and complements their flowing flesh-toned outfits. In the performance itself, they enter and exit through a curtain of strings.

Latvia is currently in the 29th place in the betting odds table.
