Finland in Eurovision 2025: Erika Vikman climbs to fourth place in the betting odds and accelerates towards the final. What message does she send her fans, and which prominent Eurovision artist helps promote her song?

The Finnish singer Erika Vikman achieved great success in the semi-finals, captivating the European audience with a particularly iconic performance. Erika delivers a show brimming with charisma and overflowing self-confidence, and the results are evident: today, she ranks fourth in the betting odds.

Although her song deals with an intimate and sexual experience-drawing criticism from the European Broadcasting Union and only partial support from home-it seems she has managed to win over fans across Europe with her unapologetic authenticity. Just hours before she takes the stage for the last time at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, with her song “Ich Komme,” she published a heartfelt post dedicating her song.

An Empowering Message to Fans

Precisely because of the challenges Erika faced on her road to the Eurovision stage since winning the Finnish national selection, she chose to open her Instagram post with a moving dedication:
“I want to dedicate my show tonight to people who are struggling with themselves or their fears. For people who think they are not enough or deserve to be loved for who they really are.”
Erika chooses to highlight anyone who feels excluded by society, continuing:
“To those who have to experience fear, bullying, shame, or violence just because being themselves. For people who feel like outsiders who don’t belong. For those who have finally decided to dare to be exactly who they are, and for those who are going towards daring. For people who face other people gently and as they are and for those who want to learn to face people as they are.”

Today, Erika concludes a months-long journey of preparations, expressing deep gratitude to her audience for their support and love:
“This has been the most unbelievable journey of my life. Grateful for every moment. Thank you my fans. Your love and support means a world to me!”

Finland’s Royal Duo

Alongside Erika, stands the Finnish rapper Käärijä, who competed at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool with the song “Cha Cha Cha,” electrifying all of Europe by winning the public vote, though ultimately finishing second in the contest. Käärijä is one of the most prominent artists to have competed in Eurovision in recent years and was also invited as a guest performer at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.

The similarities between the two artists are striking. Two years ago, Käärijä managed to sweep tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans chanting “Cha Cha Cha” in the Liverpool Arena with a magnetic and wild performance. The connection between him and Erika seems natural-the two have recently collaborated on social media content and performed together at Eurovision fan events in Basel to promote Erika’s participation in the contest.
