
Listen: Latvia’s national broadcaster has released the songs that will compete in the national final, ‘Supernova 2026’. The Latvian representative for Eurovision 2026 will be chosen on February 14
The Latvian national broadcaster, LTV, revealed today the 24 songs of “Supernova 2026”, scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026. The winner of this competition will represent Latviad at Eurovision 2026, to be held in Vienna, Austria.

Among the competitors are several familiar names:
- Robert Ox – The stage name of Roberts Memmēns, until 2024 part of the band Citi Zēni, who representes latvia at Eurovision 2022.

Ivo Grīsniņš Grīslis – Three-time Latvian national selection participant: in 2011 with the song “Cinderella” finishing tenth, in 2014 with the song “I’ve Got” eliminated in the first semi-final, and in 2016 with the song “We Are the Light“, again eliminated in the semi-final.

Antra Stafecka – Competed in 2013 with the song “When You Are With Me“, finishing fourth, returned in 2015 with te song “It’s The Night“, eliminated in the semi-finals.

Miks Galvanovskis – Competed in 2017 with the song “Runaway“, finishing eighth in the second quarter-final, returned in 2022 with the song “I’m Just a Sinner“, finishing fourth.

Aivo Oskis – Competed in 2019 with the song “Somebody’s Got My Lover“, finishing eighth, returned in 2020 with the song “Dive Deep“, eliminated in the auditions.

Emilija – Competed in 2025 with the song “Heartbeat“, finishing second.

Legzdina – Competed in 2025 alongside Bel Tempo with the song “The Water“, finishing sixth.

Supernova 2026 Dates:
- First Semi-Final – Saturday, January 31st, 2026.
- Second Semi-Final – Saturday, February 7th, 2026.
- Grand Final – Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
In each semi-final, 12 contestants will compete. From each semi-final, five are expected to qualify to the grand final, making a total of ten finalists. An additional spot remains at the discretion of LTV, which has the option to grant a second chance to a song that did not initially qualify for the final.
Latvia at Eurovision 2025
“Bur Man Laimi” (in English: “Song for Happiness”) is the name of the song performed by Tautumeitas, representing Latvia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The song is performed in Latvian – the first song in Latvian sent since 2004!
It placed second in the second semi-final with 130 points, reached the grand final, and finished thirteenth with 158 points – Latvia’s second consecutive qualification and highest achievement since Eurovision 2015.
Eurovision 2026: This will be Latvia’s 26th participation. Latvia debuted the contest in 2000 and achieved its best result in 2002, when Marie N won with the song “I Wanna”.
