Moldova at Eurovision 2026: Satoshi will perform “Viva, Moldova” on the Eurovision 2026 stage in Vienna. Listen to the song.

“Viva, Moldova” is the song that will be performed by Satoshi, who will represent Moldova at Eurovision 2026, set to take place in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th and 16th.
The song was written by Satoshi himself. This marks the first time Satoshi has competed in the national selection and earned the right to represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Satoshi has already attracted headlines after publishing a political post in which he stated that he “does not support genocide”.

The Euromix editorial team, which listened to all competing entries, partially agreed with the results of the national selection. Satoshi was chosen as the favorite by four members of the editorial team, while the overall editorial favorite was Catalina Solomac, who ultimately finished in third place. The performance opens with the stage in complete darkness. Suddenly, Satoshi runs toward the front of the stage and appears unexpectedly as the lights turn on at the exact moment he arrives. The background is immediately illuminated in the colors of the Moldovan flag, while he is dressed in dark red, inspired by the nation’s colors. Dancers surround him, accompanying the performance with energetic movements and jumps, as the choreography draws inspiration from traditional Moldovan Hora dances.

Throughout the entire song, Aliona Moon, who previously represented Moldova at Eurovision 2013 joins him on stage. The two perform continuously together, alternating and singing in unison, making the entire performance a sustained duet. The singers and dancers move in full synchronization, while the background continues shifting through the national colors. Toward the end, the tempo intensifies, the atmosphere becomes increasingly celebratory, and the performance concludes with fireworks lighting up the stage.

The song “Viva, Moldova” is a patriotic and energetic track celebrating Moldovan identity, local culture, and emotional ties to homeland and roots. By blending contemporary rhythms with musical elements associated with the region, the song expresses national pride, unity, and a call for renewal and hope. The lyrics emphasize resilience in the face of challenges, belief in a better future, and the aspiration to see Moldova as a strong, self-confident country integrated within the European community. Music serves as a unifying force that transcends political and social boundaries.
