The anticipation is nearly over: Antigoni’s song, representing Cyprus at Eurovision 2026, is expected to be released in early February, ahead of her live performance at “Sing For Greece 2026”.

Today (Sunday), it was reported that the song and official video by Antigoni – Cyprus’s representative for Eurovision 2026 – will most likely be unveiled in the first week of February. Furthermore, the artist is expected to perform the song live as a guest act on February 13 during the second semi-final of Greece’s national selection, Sing For Greece 2026, through which the country’s entry for the contest set to take place in Vienna, Austria will be chosen.

In recent years, Cyprus has been among the last countries to reveal its Eurovision entry, but this year’s timetable points to a significantly earlier release.

Antigoni’s Music Video To Premiere Soon

According to the Greek Eurovision news outlet Eurovisionfun, Cyprus’s official music video for Eurovision 2026 is scheduled to premiere in the first week of February. Besides the video’s release, Antigoni will perform her entry live on February 13 during Greece’s national selection semi-final, aiming to return Cyprus to the Eurovision Grand Final after a short absence.

The singer specifically requested to film the video in Cyprus to emphasize her emotional and cultural bond with her homeland, seeking to create a project that ties every element—from the song itself to its visual presentation—deeply to her Cypriot roots.

“I Want This to Be a Performance – Not Just a Song”

In an interview held about a month ago, Antigoni recalled the moment she discovered she would represent Cyprus at Eurovision and the wave of emotions that overtook her. She explained that upon hearing the exciting news, she was so overwhelmed with joy that she even cried. Soon after, calls from family and friends poured in, expressing how proud and excited they were for her. Antigoni shared her intention to bring that same passion and happiness to the Eurovision stage:

“I want this with all my heart. I want there to be so much energy. I want this to be a performance – not just a song. We have three minutes to deliver something powerful and moving. I want to show our Cyprus”.

Throughout the interview, Antigoni emphasized her desire to showcase Cypriot culture on the Eurovision stage. Drawing on her career, which already combines Cypriot-Greek and Mediterranean music influences, she explained what Eurovision means to her:

“For me, Eurovision is an opportunity for countries and cultures to show what makes them unique. It’s very important for me to bring something that captures the Cypriot essence and our culture – but also something that works internationally”.

What To Expect from Antigoni’s Performance?

Antigoni’s statements about a high-energy show have sparked curiosity among fans about the direction of her Eurovision entry – will it resemble the dynamic, bold performances Cyprus has become known for?

It is worth noting that in October, just a week before she was announced as Cyprus’s representative for Eurovision 2026, Antigoni opened for Eleni Foureira during a concert in London. The collaboration raises speculation about whether she might deliver a similar electrifying stage presence to Foureira’s iconic 2018 performance – and whether she could replicate her predecessor’s remarkable success.

Antigoni – Who Are You?

Antigoni, originally from Cyprus, recently joined the international tour of Marina Satti, Greece’s Eurovision 2024 representative. In various interviews and social media posts, she has often voiced her wish to represent her home country at Eurovision.

She began writing songs as a teenager and studied at London’s BRIT School, which has produced artists such as Adele and Amy Winehouse. In her early twenties, she signed with Island Records and began developing her unique sound—a mix of pop and R&B infused with Mediterranean influences and Greek instruments.
Her music often features bilingual lyrics in Greek and English, reflecting her dual British and Cypriot identity.

Antigoni became widely recognized after participating in the eighth season of the British reality show Love Island in 2022, which boosted her visibility across both the UK and Cyprus. Despite her television fame, she continues to focus primarily on her musical career.

Cyprus in Eurovision 2025

Shh” is the song performed by Theo Evan, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The song, performed in English, finished 11th in the first semi-final with 44 points and did not qualify for the final – marking the first non-qualification for Cyprus since Eurovision 2022.

Eurovision 2026: This will be Cyprus’s 42nd participation in Eurovision. Cyprus joined the competition in 1981 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2018 when singer Eleni Foureira finished in second place with the song “Fuego”.
