The Israeli National Selection for Eurovision 2025

Dates: Begins in mid-November

Format: HaKokhav HaBa is an Israeli reality singing competition. During the season, contestants perform well-known songs in front of live audience and judges. The audience votes in real-time using a dedicated app, while judges also cast their votes during the performance. In each episode, one contestant is eliminated. In the grand finale, 4 contestants will compete, from which the Israeli representative for Eurovision will be chosen. Usually, the song is selected and tailored for the winner after the finale by an internal committee.
