Nominees for the prestigious French radio station NRJ’s Music Awards have been announced. Among the big names are four Eurovision stars nominated in three different categories.

The NRJ Music Awards ceremony, hosted by the French radio station NRJ, stands as one of the most significant events in both the French and international music industries. Global superstars such as Justin Bieber and Harry Styles have already claimed NRJ Music Awards. The winners are determined through an electronic system where public voting accounts for 75% of the total score, while a jury from NRJ and TF1 contributes the remaining 25%.

While based in France, NRJ broadcasts in numerous countries including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Lebanon, Mauritius, Morocco, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine.




Eurovision Stars Shine Among NRJ Music Awards Nominees

Four Eurovision stars from recent and past years have secured nominations:

  • Slimane, who represented France at Eurovision 2024 and finished fourth with “Mon Amour”, is nominated for “Francophone Male Artist of the Year” . Slimane won this category last year.
  • Amir Haddad, the French-Israeli singer who represented France at Eurovision 2016 and placed sixth with “J’ai Cherche”, will compete against Slimane in the “Francophone Male Artist of the Year” category.
  • Isaak, Germany’s representative at Eurovision 2024 who finished twelfth with “Always on the Run”, is nominated in the new category “German Newcomer of the Year”. If he wins, it will be his first international award.
  • Måneskin, the Italian band that won Eurovision 2021 with “Zitti e buoni”, is nominated for “International Group/Duo of the Year”. Last year, Måneskin received the NRJ Honor Award.




Voting Process and Award Ceremony Details

Voting for the NRJ Awards is open exclusively to residents of metropolitan France. Votes can be cast daily through the NRJ app or website (NRJ.fr), with one vote allowed per category each day. While voting is free, SMS verification is required to ensure each voter has only one account.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 1st in Cannes, France.




France at Eurovision 2024

“Mon amour” is the name of the song performed by singer Slimane, who represented France in the grand final of Eurovision 2024. The song won fourth place, after receiving 445 points.

Eurovision 2025: This will be France’s 68th participation in Eurovision. France joined the competition in 1956 and has won it five times over the years. France’s last victory was in Eurovision 1977 with the song “L’Oiseau et l’Enfant” performed by singer Marie Myriam.
