Following a series of rumors about the breakup of Eurovision 2021 winners Måneskin, lead singer Damiano David made his solo debut on a popular late-night show. Also, what happened to Angelina Mango?
Following a wave of rumors flooding the internet about the possible split of Eurovision 2021 winners rock band Måneskin, and their members’ potential solo careers, the band’s lead singer Damiano David, made his solo debut on global television last Wednesday. David appeared as a guest on the popular American late-night show “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, where he also performed his new single “Silverlines“.
Måneskin, the band featuring Damiano David, brought Italy its third Eurovision victory and subsequently took the world by storm, amassing millions of streams and fans worldwide. Recently, there have been signs that the band members might be exploring individual paths. Damiano removed the band’s name “Måneskin” from his Instagram bio, and announced what appears to might be a solo project, titled “Everywhere”. Victoria de Angelis, the band’s bassist, has also ventured into individual projects. She recently collaborated with Brazilian singer Anitta, for a new song.
While these moves have sparked discussions among fans about the band’s future, there’s no information yet about separate careers for the band’s drummer Ethan Torchio and guitarist Thomas Raggi. And for now, Måneskin continues to perform together, with their most recent single ‘Honey (Are U Coming?)‘ released in early September.”
Staying with the reports from Italy: Angelina Mango, Italy’s representative for Eurovision 2024, recently embarked on an extensive tour scheduled to cover Italy and various parts of Europe. However, after only two performences Mango made a dramatic announcement, saying she’s cancelling all her upcoming shows. Mango, who had just begun her tour on October 12, left many fans and ticket holders wondering about her sudden decision to halt the autumn performances they were waiting for.
Last week, Mango took to her Instagram page to address the situation. She shared a post featuring a handwritten letter, in which she explained: “I started this tour with the best intentions. I was so happy to return to live performances with you all, and the shows in Rome and Naples filled my heart. In recent days, I’ve had to cancel performances because of my voice, and for the sake of my health. My voice hasn’t fully recovered yet, and now is the time to listen to it. I need to stop because I need to take care of myself, to put my health first. For this reason, together with my team, I’ve decided that for now, I cannot continue with the tour. I love you all very much, and I’m already grateful for the love I know I’ll receive in the coming days.”
