Latvia at Eurovision 2025: Tautumeitas won the Latvian national selection and will perform “Bur Man Laimi” on the Eurovision 2025 stage. Listen to the song.
“Bur Man Laimi” is the title of the song that will be performed by band Tautumeitas, who will represent Latvia in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025, taking place on May 15th in Basel, Switzerland. The song was written and composed by Asnate Rancāne, Aurēlija Rancāne, Elvis Lintiņš and Laura Līcīte. The song is performed in Latvian, and this is the first song Latvia has sent in its native language since 2004!
“Bur Man Laimi” is a song that blends traditional Latvian folk melodies with more modern sounds. Tautumeitas sing about curses and exes that cannot destroy them. They typically wear headdresses and crowns in all their performances, and here too they have a “crown” decoration on their heads, which is more reminiscent of nymphs and complements their flowing flesh-toned outfits. In the performance itself, they enter and exit through a curtain of strings.
The song, performed entirely in Latvian, represents Latvia’s first full entry in the national language since 2004. Tautumeitas, a folk ensemble consisting of six women, will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel with this unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements.
The band won the Latvian national selection held tonight and competed against nine other contestants, with Tautumeitas reaching the first place.

Latvia in Eurovision 2024
Dons represented Latvia at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Hollow.” The song was chosen in the national finals after winning the title “Song of the Year.” In the grand final, it finished 16th with 64 points, which included 36 points from the juries (placing it 15th) and 28 points from the public (placing it 16th).
Latvia’s qualification for the final comes after seven years of failing to advance from the semi-final stage. Since the introduction of the semi-final system, the country has qualified for the grand final only four other times: in 2005, 2008, 2015, and 2016.
Eurovision 2025: This will be Lavia’s 25th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Latvia joined the competition in 2000 and achieved its best result in 2001 when singer Marie N reached first place with the song “I Wanna.”
