Watch: Today at 17:00 CET, the final of “Depi Evratesil 2025” will take place, selecting Armenia’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025, in Basel, Switzerland. A viewing link is provided.

Today at 17:00 CET, the Armenian national broadcaster, AMPTV, will hold the final of the Eurovision national selection “Depi Evratesil” – at the end of which the Armenian representative and song for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, will be chosen. 12 contestants will compete in tonight’s final. The Armenian national selection will be broadcast on the official channel of the Armenian national broadcaster AMPTV, on the official website of the broadcaster, and on the official YouTube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The final of the Armenian national selection will take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan. The show will be hosted by actress and presenter Ani Khachikyan and Armenia’s Eurovision 2014 representative, Aram Sargsyan, known by his stage name Aram MP3. The winner will be chosen by 50% jury votes and 50% public votes. Among the artists performing in the interval acts will be the winner of Junior Eurovision 2021, Malena, and Armenia’s Eurovision 2023 representative, Brunette.

The Grand Final will begin at 17:00 CET.

Who Are the Favorites Tonight?

In a poll conducted on the website, Euromix site visitors chose singer Athena Manoukian to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2025 with the song “DaQueenation”, winning 46% of the votes. Second place with 12% of the votes went to Flora Bichakhchyan with the song “Prayer”, and third place with 10% of the votes went to Milena Mirijanyan with the song “Romantic Net”.

The Euromix editorial team, after listening to the songs, agreed with the readers’ choice and selected Athena Manoukian as the worthy singer to represent Armenia in the upcoming Eurovision, with 53 points. In second place, with 49 points, the editorial team ranked Parg, who came fourth in the reades’ poll. Third place, with 46 points, went to Mels, who only reached eighth place in the poll. Flora Bichakhchyan, who finished second in the visitors’ poll, came fourth in the editorial ranking with 42 points, followed by Milena Mirijanyan, who came third in the visitors’ poll, with 38 points. According to the summary of YouTube view counts, Athena Manoukian is in first place with about 250,000 views, in second place with 175,000 views is Anahit Adamyan, and in third place with 155,000 views are Anahit & Gasoiia. Based on all the data, the win will likely go to Athena Manoukian, the country’s representative for Eurovision 2020 which was canceled.


 

Athena Manoukian – Who Are You?

Athena Manoukian, 30, is a Greek singer born in Greece to parents of Armenian descent. The singer was discovered in an international talent competition held in Greece in 2007 where she won first place. A year later, she competed in the Greek national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song “To Fili Tis Afroditis“, where she only reached seventh place.

In 2011, Athena released her first single “Party Like a Freak”. The song became one of the biggest hits in Greece that year and was even nominated for two awards at the MAD TV Video Music Awards. In 2012, the singer released two more successful singles. In 2014, Athena released “XO” which won Best English Song at the Armenian Pulse Awards 2015. The young singer also wrote the song “Palia Mou Agapi” for Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou.

In 2018, she participated in X Factor UK. In 2020, she was chosen to represent Armenia at Eurovision with her song “Chains on You“, but ultimately did not do so after the competition was canceled.

Among the competitors are several well-known names:

  • Athena Manoukian – Armenia’s representative in Eurovision 2020 with the song “Chains On You” that was not performed on the Eurovision stage due to cancellation. The singer hinted at her return and is now officially on the list of participants.
  • Arsen Grigoryan – or his stage name Kamil, participated in the Armenian Eurovision national selection in 2018 with the song “Puerto Rico,” which finished fourth. Arsen was also a member of the Armenian jury at Eurovision 2023 and the spokesperson for Armenia in Eurovision 2018.
  • Gevorg Harutyunyan – participated in the Armenian Eurovision pre-contest in 2018 with the song “Stand Up.”
  • Anahit – participated in the Junior Eurovision in 2016, together with Mary and the song “Tarber” (translated at “Different”) which finished in second place.


 

Armenia in Eurovision 2024

“Jako” was the song performed by the duo Ladaniva, representing Armenia at Eurovision 2024. The duo consists of Jaklin Baghdasaryan and Louis Thomas.

Armenia qualified for the final after placing third in the second semi-final with 137 points, and in the grand final, they reached eighth place with 183 points.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Armenia’s 16th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Armenia joined the competition in 2006 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2008 and Eurovision 2014 by finishing in Fourth place.
