From one downfall to another: Måns Zelmerlöw, the Eurovision 2015 winner who also competed in this year’s Swedish national selection and lost unexpectedly, now faces serious allegations from his ex-wife!

Måns Zelmerlöw, who won Eurovision 2015 with his iconic song “Heroes,” recently competed in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen with his new track “Revolution.” Despite being the favorite to win, he suffered a surprising defeat and reacted bitterly. Now, he finds himself embroiled in an even more personal crisis, as his ex-wife, British actress Ciara Janson, has leveled severe accusations against him.

Janson took to Instagram to share a scathing post accusing Måns of drug addiction, emotional and physical abuse, and “endless” infidelity. According to her, she filed for divorce in the UK to protect both their privacy but now feels compelled to speak out. In her words: “I stayed quiet and protected my ex-husband for too long.”

In her post, Janson urged others in similar situations to seek help: “I encourage anyone who is in a similar situation to seek help and support, and find the strength to take control of your life. Everyone deserves freedom and happiness.”

She concluded her message with a mix of well-wishes and pointed remarks: “I wish Måns all the best for his future endeavours, and I hope he seeks the help he so desperately needs. Whilst this chapter is closing, I wish him nothing but a path toward a better future.”

Janson’s revelations come amidst reports in both Swedish and British media suggesting that Måns himself initiated the divorce proceedings. Whether this was an attempt to control the narrative remains unclear. What is certain is that Måns is facing one of the most challenging periods of his life. His Melodifestivalen appearance, intended as a triumphant return to relevance and the Eurovision spotlight, has instead coincided with what could be described as his lowest point.

Listen to Måns’s Melodifestivalen 2025 song that came 2nd:

Sweden at Eurovision 2025:

“Bara bada bastu” (in English: “Just take a sauna”) is the title of the song that will be performed by band KAJ, who will represent Sweden in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2025, taking place on May 13 in Basel, Switzerland. The song was written by the band members – Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman, and Jakob Norrgård – along with Anderz Wrethov, Kristoffer Strandberg, and Robert Skowronski. Wrethov is no stranger to the Eurovision world, having written numerous Eurovision songs, including “We Will Rave” by Kaleen, who represented Austria in Eurovision 2024, “Fuego” by Eleni Foureira, who represented Cyprus in Eurovision 2018 and finished in second place, and “Voices” by Tusse, Sweden’s representative in Eurovision 2021. The song is performed in Finnish and Swedish.
