Louane, France’s Eurovision 2025 representative, is preparing an unforgettable performance, revealing Rabanne as the fashion house behind her custom-designed outfit for the contest.

Preparations for the French delegation at Eurovision 2025 are in full swing. New details have emerged about the performance, design, and personal story of Louane, France’s representative with the song “maman” (in English: “Mother”). On the fashion front, Louane will wear a custom-made outfit designed by Rabanne.

The costume is led by designer Julien Dossena, offering a modern and personal reinterpretation of one of his existing creations, tailored specifically for the Eurovision stage and the song’s message. Dossena has an impressive background, having worked at Balenciaga from 2008 to 2012 before founding his own fashion brand, Atto, in 2012. In July 2013, he was appointed artistic director of Paco Rabanne.

The artistic direction for Louane’s performance is entrusted to Swedish director and choreographer Fredrik Rydman, one of the most acclaimed names in Eurovision history. Rydman is renowned for transforming songs into powerful visual spectacles, having been behind iconic Eurovision moments such as Måns Zelmerlöw‘s victory for Sweden in 2015 with “Heroes” and Nemo‘s win for Switzerland last year with “The Code.” This year, Rydman faces a new challenge: staging a quiet and emotional ballad.

Louane’s song “maman” was unveiled during the halftime show of the Six Nations tournament finale in Paris. The song reflects on her past memories as she addresses her late mother, who passed away from cancer in 2014. Touching on themes of love, hope, and legacy, the song serves as a heartfelt connection to French audiences and viewers across Europe.
