Armenia at Eurovision 2025: Singer Parg will perform “Survivor” with new lyrics. What do the new words mean, and in which language will he sing them?
Armenian singer Parg, who will represent Armenia at Eurovision 2025 with the song “Survivor,” has revealed that his performance will now include lyrics in Armenian. The announcement, made through Eurovision’s official social media channels, has sparked significant interest among Eurovision fans.
Cultural Diversity on the Eurovision Stage
Parg will sing a line in Armenian, which translates to: “No one can dim the light in your soul”. The decision to incorporate Armenian lyrics into “Survivor” reflects a desire to connect Armenia’s national and cultural identity with Eurovision’s international stage. Although no official explanation has been provided, this inclusion of Armenian can be seen as an expression of national pride and an effort to stand out in the musically diverse contest.
With the addition of Armenian, the number of languages featured on the Eurovision stage this year rises to 19—a remarkable figure that highlights the contest’s broad cultural diversity in recent years. Eurovision 2025 is expected to be a celebration of multilingualism and personal expression through music.

“Survivor” is the song that will be performed by Parg, who will represent Armenia in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025, scheduled for May 15th in Basel, Switzerland.
The song was co-written by the singer himself along with Benji Alasu, who participated in writing the winning song of Eurovision 2024, “The Code,” and Thomas G:son, who has penned 14 entries for Eurovision, including the Swedish song that won in 2012 (“Euphoria”) and 2023 (“Tattoo”).
