The Swedish national broadcaster is wasting no time and has declared that Sweden will be ready to host Eurovision 2026 in the event of a victory.
SVT’s Commitment to Hosting Eurovision 2026
Anton Glanzelius, Head of Content at the Swedish national broadcaster SVT, stated: “Will it be a big task for us to deal with it again in such a short time? Yes. Are we going to make it? The answer is yes.” He explained that accommodating the contest would likely mean postponing some of the broadcaster’s entertainment and original content productions to another year.
No Plans for Joint Hosting with Finland
Glanzelius also dismissed the possibility of co-hosting the contest with Finland or involving the Finnish national broadcaster YLE in organizing the event. It is worth noting that all members of KAJ are Finnish, and the lyrics of their song “Bara Bada Bastu” are in a regional Finnish dialect of the Swedish language, with several Finnish words incorporated into the song.

The group’s name is derived from the initials of its members’ first names. They are known for their humorous performances and songs primarily in Swedish, particularly in the Vörå dialect.
