The Eurovision 2025 stage was officially unveiled in a video on the contest’s official YouTube channel. What does the stage look like in action? All the details are in the article!

Less than a day before rehearsals begin at St. Jakobshalle-the venue set to host Eurovision 2025 in Basel in less than two weeks-the Eurovision page has released a special video revealing the competition’s stage.

The Stage: Alpine Beauty Meets Technology

The stage designer, Florian Weider, now designing for the eighth time, stated that the stage design highlights numerous Swiss elements. The Alps are visible on stage, which, according to Weider, are “what makes Switzerland so special”. Additionally, the stage features a four-sided frame representing Switzerland’s four official languages: German, French, Romansh, and Italian. The stage is wrapped in a three-dimensional network of lights, with LED screens positioned behind it. This year, the audience will be closer to the stage than ever before, as the venue’s space is maximized to accommodate as many people as possible.

The stage consists of a main stage, a secondary stage, and a connecting runway, with the audience situated between all stage sections, creating “a special kind of energy,” as Weider describes. He added: “Our goal was to create a revolutionary stage design-a holistic experience never before seen at Eurovision. Thanks to the immersive stage design, the audience will be part of the contest on a scale never experienced before”.

Graphic Concept: Unity, Love, and Dialogue

The stage design allows the audience to become an integral part of the musical event, delivering an experience unprecedented in Eurovision history. At the center of the stage stands a massive LED arch, forming a dynamic visual envelope that connects performances and audience in an innovative and engaging way.

The stage’s layout also enables the audience to witness a fusion of tradition and progress, through a unique combination of traditional Swiss elements and advanced technology. This year’s contest slogan, “Unity Shapes Love,” reflects the spirit of democracy and attentive listening that are foundational to Swiss culture. According to artistic director Artur Deyneuve: “If we truly listen to one another, we will discover love”.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Switzerland’s 65th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Its most recent victory was at the last Eurovision in 2025, with Nemo’s song “The Code.” This win follows Switzerland’s previous victory in 1988 with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi,” performed by international singer Céline Dion.
