Armenia in Eurovision: In a new interview, French Eurovision star Patrick Fiori declares his intention to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2027.
Yesterday, singer Patrick Fiori appeared before the cameras to promote his new album, nostalgically dedicated to the island of Corsica – much like his previous Eurovision song. Fiori, who represented France at Eurovision 1993 with the song “Mama Corsica”, finished in fourth place that year. Now, he surprises everyone by declaring that he will likely represent Armenia at Eurovision 2027, even though Armenia didn’t confirm it’s participation at Eurovision 2026.
A Surprise Revelation About Eurovision Return
During the interview promoting his new album, an unexpected exchange took place when the interviewer asked:
Do you have the right not to talk about Armenia tonight?
Fiori responded with a surprising statement:
“Look, I think I’m going to represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest. Basically, everything is moving in that direction. I’m in contact with the people involved”.
Fiori, born to a Corsican-French mother and a French-Armenian father, comes from a family that emigrated to France following the Armenian Genocide. Today, he embraces both his Corsican and Armenian roots as central influences in his cultural identity and artistic expression.
His statement drew significant attention from the Eurovision fan community and French media alike, especially since Fiori had previously represented France in 1993 and achieved an impressive fourth place. This announcement renews his deep connection to the international contest, this time potentially under the Armenian flag. Listen to “Mama Corsica”, his Eurovision 1993 entry:

“Survivor” is the song that will be performed by Parg, who will represent Armenia in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2025, scheduled for May 15th in Basel, Switzerland.
“Survivor” was the name of the song performed by Parg, who represented Armenia in the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final. The singer qualified to the final after ranking tenth in the semi-final and ultimately placed 20th with 72 points.
This marks the fourth consecutive time Armenia has successfully qualified for the Eurovision Grand Final.
Eurovision 2025: This was Armenia’s 17th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Armenia joined the competition in 2006 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2008 and Eurovision 2014 by finishing in Fourth place.
