Preparations for Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria are underway, and the list of participating countries is taking shape. While everyone waits for official announcements, we’ve decided to get ahead and reveal the artists who simply must compete. We continue with the next countries to confirm participation at Eurovision 2027: North Macedonia, Greece and Switzerland. Here is the list of artists for whom we believe the Eurovision stage is the perfect platform for them.

Lara:
Lara Ivanova, performing under the stage name Lara, was born in Skopje, North Macedonia, on May 14, 2004, and is 22 years old. Lara has a particularly powerful and captivating voice, one that stays with you even after the song ends. She took a significant step into the spotlight in 2022, when she participated in the Macedonian Eurovision national selection “Za Evrosong 2022” with the ballad “Flower of Sorrow“. The song was highly appreciated by the judges, who placed her second, but unfortunately, the public crushed Lara, placing her last with 5 points.
Lara’s 2022 song was good, but it really didn’t showcase what she is truly capable of. Lara has a wide and exceptionally powerful vocal range that leaves a mark, and with the right song, could even give North Macedonia one of its best results in the competition – similar to the impressive success of Tamara Todevska in the jury vote at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv with the moving ballad “Proud“.
Antonia Gigovska:
Antonia Gigovska, born in Skopje, North Macedonia, was born on January 21, 2001, and is 25 years old. Her musical style combines modern pop and powerful ballads. She received her first significant exposure in the Balkan region as a teenager when she participated in the popular music reality show “Pinkove Zvezdice”, where she reached the finals and was immediately recognized as a huge promise in the industry.
Since then, Gigovska has established her status as one of the country’s leading and most respected pop stars with a string of successful hits such as “Habibi” and “Nema Koj“, wins at prestigious festivals like MakFest, and collaborations with top creators. She even holds valuable Eurovision experience, having served as a backing vocalist for Tamara Todevska in the country’s peak achievement at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv. The combination of her rich stage experience, modern productions, and uncompromising vocal abilities makes her a natural and ideal candidate to lead the country on the big stage.
Kristina Strezoska:
Kristina Strezoska was born in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, on January 24, 2006, and is 20 years old. Strezoska is a young and promising Macedonian singer who has captured the hearts of many. Particularly powerful ballads characterize her musical style, and she is recognized for her clean, emotional vocal delivery and impressive stage presence.
Her big breakthrough on the regional scene came when she participated in the third season of the Balkan’s leading music reality show, IDJShow, in 2024-2025. In this competition, she delivered strong performances that won great affection from the show’s viewers. During the show, Kristina gave a breathtaking performance of the song “Proud”, which represented North Macedonia in 2019 and brought them seventh place – their best result in the competition to date.
Barbara Popović:
Barbara Popović, born in Skopje, North Macedonia, was born on August 16, 2000, and is 25 years old. Her musical style combines modern Balkan pop alongside powerful ballads, and she is known for her impressive vocal range and captivating stage presence. She received her first significant exposure at a young age when she represented her country in Junior Eurovision in 2013 with the song “Ohrid i muzika”—a step that marked her even then as a major promise.
Her major mature breakthrough into regional awareness occurred in recent years, mainly thanks to her impressive participation in the second season of the Balkan’s leading music reality show, IDJShow, where she reached the final. Since then, Barbara has repositioned herself as a mature and modern artist, released several successful singles, and proved that she is here to stay. Barbara possesses the winning combination of stage experience from an early age alongside a powerful attitude and versatility that are perfectly suited for the coveted competition.

Xannova Xan:
Kalli Georgelis, performing under the stage name Xannova Xan, was born in 1992 in Texas, United States, but spent a significant part of her life in Greece. At just 13 years old, she represented Greece in Junior Eurovision 2005 as part of a duo with the song “Tora einai i seira mas” and reached sixth place, which stands as a peak result for Greece.
In 2025, Xannova Xan participated in “Sing For Greece 2025” with her song “!Play it”, which combined Greek motifs and modern pop, reaching fifth place. The following year, Xan joined forces with Israeli creators Keren Peles and Tomer Biran to create the song “Unbreakable“, with which she was supposed to compete again in the Greek selection, but unfortunately did not make the cut, likely due to internal conflicts. The song was written as part of a collaboration between Euromix and the Greek website eurovisionfun.
Evangelia:
Evangelia, or by her full name Evangelia Psarakis, has become a familiar name in the Eurovision world. In recent years, she has been resolutely trying to represent Greece and Cyprus, submitting songs to the selection processes of both countries, some of which she even released as singles- such as “Ónira”, which she submitted to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022; “Aphrodite”, which she submitted to the Cypriot internal selection that same year, and “Pali”, which she submitted to represent Greece in 2023.
In 2025, she competed in the Greek Eurovision national selection and reached second place with her song “Vale”, two points behind Klavdia, who represented Greece at Eurovision and finished in sixth place. Even in 2026, Evangelia did not give up on her dream and competed for the right to represent Greece in the national selection “Sing for Greece 2026” with the song “Paréa“, with which she finished in fourth place with 24 points.
Tianora:
Tianora is a singer-songwriter with a unique vocal timbre and a particularly wide and powerful vocal range. Her musical journey began at the age of 7, when she started studying at a specialized classical music school, deepening her studies in opera, music theory, and traditional music. The combination of classical foundations and the career experience she accumulated is clearly reflected in her performances.
From an early age, Tianora stood out in national singing competitions and even reached the semi-finals of the famous music show “X Factor Greece” in 2016. A decade later, Tianora competed once again. The singer took part in “Sing for Greece 2026,” with the powerful song “Anatello“. Unfortunately, Tianora did not advance past the semi-final stage. However, the support and affection for her never stopped for a moment; immediately after the finalists were announced, the Greek public was outraged and in complete shock that she failed to reach the grand final.
Josephine:
Greek singer Josephine, whose full name is Jessica Josephine Wendel, was born on August 22, 1990, in Athens, the capital of Greece, and is 35 years old. Josephine is considered one of the biggest pop stars in Greece, with numerous hits that achieved great success, such as “Ego,” which topped the country’s charts. She has a history in the Eurovision world dating back to 2014, when she competed alongside Greek DJ Mark Angelo in the Greek Eurovision selection “Greece Eurosong 2014” with the song “Dancing Night.” Disappointingly, Josephine finished in fourth and last place in the local selection.
In 2026, Josephine was one of the final names in the running for the Cypriot internal selection for Eurovision. Still, by the end, Antigoni was chosen to represent the country in the coveted contest. Although she has failed to reach the big stage multiple times, Josephine is not giving up. A month ago, as we reported, Josephine announced that she will submit a song and try her luck in “Sing for Greece 2027”.

Ilira:
Swiss singer Ilira, or by her full name Ilira Gashi, was born on October 29, 1994, and is 31 years old. Ilira was born in Brienz, Switzerland, to Ismet and Entela Gashi.
She released her debut song, “Whisper My Name,” on August 24, 2018. That same year, her second single, “Get Off My D!ck,” was released, entering Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in the United States. Her first chart entry was thanks to her collaboration with the well-known German DJ and producer Alle Farben on the song “Fading,” which reached number 16 on the German Singles Chart and number one on the Airplay chart in Germany for four consecutive weeks. Ilira brings a modern flair that will make her stand out and could even bring Switzerland back to the Grand Final.
To Athena:
To Athena is the chamber-pop solo project of Swiss singer-songwriter Tiffany Limacher. Limacher, who was born and raised in the city of Lucerne to a family of violinists, was influenced from childhood by the sounds of classical instruments and 1980s music listened to by her father. After gaining early experience in musical theater and acting, she decided to focus on her original work, characterized by a cinematic, sensitive, and fragile indie-pop sound. She writes and sings in both English and Swiss-German, with this combination of languages yielding her local breakout single, “Angscht,” which accumulated millions of streams and exposed her unique style to the general public.
The year 2023 marked a significant milestone in her career when she won the prestigious Artist Award at the Swiss Music Awards. Her success across various streaming platforms and radio stations quickly translated to the stage, with sold-out shows and worldwide tours expanding her fanbase far beyond Europe’s borders, including performances in countries like Mexico. Her unique style has never been seen on the Eurovision stage, and it could bring Switzerland back to the top ten after they failed to qualify for the final last year.
Nuit Incolore:
Swiss singer and composer Nuit Incolore, or by his original name Théo Marclay, was born in 2001 in Vietnam and is 25 years old. When he was only five months old, he was adopted by a Swiss couple, and while growing up, he had to face racism due to his Asian heritage. Marclay began playing the piano at the age of seven, and later studied music at the University of Fribourg.
He is best known for his hit “Dépassé,” which reached platinum status in France. In addition, he was crowned French-Language Breakout of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards, an impressive achievement that made him the first Swiss artist to win this prestigious title.
Chiara Castelli:
Swiss singer Chiara Castelli was born on April 23, 1999, in Lucerne, Switzerland, and is 27 years old. Castelli rose to public prominence after participating in the German version of the music show “The Voice Kids.” Later, she furthered her musical education by studying at a music and arts school in Barcelona.
Over the years, Castelli released notable songs and collaborations that increased her exposure in the music industry, such as “No One Knows,” in which she was featured alongside Henri PFR and Famba. Castelli says she draws inspiration for her songs, among other sources, from the beloved and successful singer Ariana Grande. Despite this inspiration, which is common among many artists, she manages to stand out thanks to her unique voice that leaves a lasting impression. She gives pop music a fresh perspective by incorporating her personal experiences and emotions into her songs.
