For the sixth time, Netta Barzilai, Eurovision 2018 winner, tries her luck in predicting the host city of Eurovision 2025. Will she ever succeed?

Tomorrow at 11:00 AM CET, all attention in Europe will be focused on Switzerland as they, along with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), announce the host city for Eurovision 2025. Numerous fans have attempted to predict the outcome of this bid, including singer Netta Barzilai, the 2018 Eurovision champion. This guessing game has become a recent tradition, and Eurovision fans often chuckle at how, time and again, the singer guesses the host city but consistently misses the mark. So, which city has Netta placed her bets on this time?

According to Netta, Geneva is set to host the contest next year! Earlier today, the singer posted a video on her TikTok account, saying: “Tradition is tradition, congratulations Switzerland, next year in Geneva.” Since posting the video, many fans have humorously congratulated Basel on being chosen as the host city, given that every time Netta tries her luck, she fails. Here are examples from recent years when Netta attempted to predict the host city:

  • For 2019, she bet on Jerusalem, but Tel Aviv hosted the contest
  • For 2021, she bet on Amsterdam, but Rotterdam was the host city
  • For 2022, she bet on Rome, but Turin ended up hosting
  • For 2023, she bet on Manchester, but Liverpool was chosen
  • For 2024, she bet on Stockholm, but Malmö hosted the contest
