The major cruise company Royal Caribbean will continue to sponsor the Eurovision in 2025, now offering a new and unique cruise experience for contest fans in Europe!
The major cruise company Royal Caribbean will continue to sponsor the Eurovision Song Cntest in 2025, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland. In addition to being a sponsor, the company is now announcing the launch of two unique cruises designed for dedicated contest fans of all ages, combining a tour of leading European destinations with one big, special Eurovision celebration dedicated entirely to Eurovision 2025.
Contest fans will be able to enjoy a variety of unique experiences during the cruise, which will celebrate the famous music event through entertainment, dining, tours, and more. Nightlife enthusiasts can enjoy themed parties, Eurovision song karaoke nights, competitions, a gala dinner, and even live performances by surprise artists (to be announced later). All this while visiting various destinations in the Middle East, UK and Belgium, along with the regular and extensive cruise experience offered by Royal Caribbean.
A Unique Concept Cruise in the Genre
The cruise company aims to conduct a one-of-a-kind voyage that provides a comprehensive experience, both of the Eurovision theme and the quality of the cruise. For example, the dining rooms on board the ship will feature menus inspired by the diverse cultures of the countries participating in the contest, and each cruise will focus on the Eurovision theme in a different way:
The Allure of the Seas is expected to depart from Barcelona (Spain) on May 11, 2025, and pass through Civitavecchia (Italy) on May 15, then dock in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), La Spezia (Italy), Florence (Italy), and Pisa (Italy). The main theme accompanying the cruise will be a communal viewing of the grand Eurovision final. The cruise is expected to last seven nights.
The Independence of the Seas is expected to depart from Southampton, England on June 18, 2025 (about a month after the contest ends) and will arrive in Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Bruges (Belgium). The cruise will focus on the theme “Memories from Eurovision” where contest fans can, among other things, watch and re-experience the iconic and great moments from the recently concluded contest and from previous years’ competitions.
Eurovision-Themed Experiences and Entertainment
Gerard Nolan, Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Royal Caribbean International, was interviewed on the subject and said: “The debut of the Eurovision Song Contest-themed holidays earlier this year was an absolute hit. With the only experience of this kind in the world, fans had the unique opportunity to take their Eurovision viewing parties to the next level throughout Europe with more adventure and fellow fans than ever before.” He added: “Royal Caribbean’s Eurovision Song Contest adventures will be even more memorable next summer with special experiences, from themed parties to dance the night away to added Eurovision twists at karaoke.”
Sponsor for the 2025 Contest
In addition to the concept cruise it offers, this will be the second year that Royal Caribbean sponsors the Eurovision contest, and it promises to bring a wide range of experiences, including on land, to celebrate the world’s biggest music event.
Last year, Ben Bouldin, former Vice President of the company in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, was interviewed on the subject and said: “As two world-renowned brands that are known for delivering memorable moments to millions across the globe, the combination of Royal Caribbean International and Eurovision Song Contest makes the ultimate partnership that will bring to life the very best of world-class live entertainment and a fusion of cultures from all over. With more than 60 historic years of the Eurovision Song Contest, we’re proud to partner with an iconic brand that has a global audience, which only continues to grow with the popularity of an event that has become a cultural moment for so many around the world.”

Eurovision 2025: The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025. The St. Jakobshalle arena, which will host the competition, is expected to accommodate about 12,000 spectators for each show. The contest will take place in Switzerland following the country’s third historical win with the song “The Code”, performed by singer Nemo. This will be the third time the competition has been hosted in Switzerland, after the contest was held there in 1956 and 1989.
