The Serbian national broadcaster RTS has extended the deadline for song submissions for “Pesma za Evroviziju 2025”, its selection competition for Eurovision 2025.

Serbia’s national broadcaster RTS has announced an extension to the submission deadline for their Eurovision 2025 national selection, “Pesma Za Evroviziju 2025”. This news comes after Serbia confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to take place in Basel, Switzerland.

Extended Submission Period

RTS has extended the deadline for song submissions from November 1st to November 10th. The submission window originally opened in July when Serbia confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2025. While RTS did not provide a specific reason for the extension, a similar extension occurred last year for “Pesma za Evroviziju 2024”.

Competition Structure and Dates

“Pesma za Evroviziju ’25” will consist of two semi-finals and a final:

  • First Semi-Final: February 25, 2025
  • Second Semi-Final: February 27, 2025
  • Final: March 1, 2025

The competition will be held at RTS Studio 8 Košutnjak in Belgrade. Results will be determined by a combination of professional jury and public voting.

Selection Process and Participant Numbers

After the submission window closes, the RTS selection committee will evaluate entries based solely on their artistic quality and choose the competing songs. If no submission meets the required musical standard, the broadcaster reserves the right to make an internal selection.

Olivera Kovacêvic, the competition’s producer, revealed that between 26 and 36 songs will participate in the national selection, and the names of the participants will be announced in December.
