Baby Lasagna, Croatia’s 2024 Eurovision runner-up and televote winner, hints at a potential collaboration with Käärijä, Finland’s 2023 Eurovision runner-up.

Baby Lasagna, Croatia’s representative at Eurovision 2024 who finished second overall (and first in the public vote), reveals on his Instagram account that there’s a potential new song with the winner of the public vote at Eurovision 2023, who also finished second overall – Käärijä from Finland.

Instagram Q&A Reveals Collaboration Hint

On Baby Lasagna’s Instagram account, the singer answered questions from his fans. One fan asked: “Are you working on a song with Käärijä yet? It would be epic!” The singer shared the question, posted a picture of himself with his friend Käärijä, and replied: “Yes! I hope it happens.”

Similarities Between the Artists

A collaboration between the two doesn’t seem far-fetched. Both singers finished second in Eurovision and first in the public vote, and when Baby Lasagna’s Eurovision song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” was released, many compared it to Käärijä’s “Cha Cha Cha” from the competition. Both songs featured bizarre and unique performances, a mix of musical styles, and catchy lyrics repeated throughout the chorus.

Käärijä’s Previous Eurovision Collaboration

From Käärijä’s side, working on a joint song with a Eurovision 2024 artist is not implausible. This is because last July, the singer released a song with the Dutch Eurovision representative, Joost Klein, who performed “Europapa” at Eurovision and was eliminated just before the final due to a police investigation into violence against a Swedish photographer. Their joint song, called “TRAFIK!“, garnered millions of views.

Croatia in Eurovision 2024:

“Rim Tim Tagi Dim” is the name of the song performed by the singer Baby Lasagna, which was chosen to represent Croatia after winning the national finals. Croatia advanced to the final after winning the first semi-final with 177 points, and in the grand final, it reached second place with 547 points.

Croatia won the public vote but finished in second place in the overall tally. This is Croatia’s best achievement in all its years of participation.
