Tonight at 18:15 CET, the Estonian national broadcaster, ERR, will hold the final of “Eesti Laul 2025” – which will determine Estonia’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. 16 contestants will compete in tonight’s final, with 15 of them revealed in two special broadcasts of the Estonian program “Ringvaade” on November 4th and 5th, 2024. The identity of the 16th and final contestant was revealed two months later, after competing with 19 additional songs for public votes. This year marks the first time since 2010 that the “Eesti Laul” will be held without semi-finals.
The “Eesti Laul” venue is “Unibet Arena” (formerly: “Saku Suurhall”) in Tallinn, the same hall that hosted Eurovision 2002. The competition final will be hosted by Estonia’s Eurovision 2000 representative, Eda-Ines Etti, and Karl Kivastik, known by his stage name Korea, one of Estonia’s representatives at Eurovision 2024 with the band 5Miinust. The voting system in the local competition will remain the same as in previous years: in the first round of the final, ten songs will perform, and the voting will be split between 50% jury vote and 50% public vote. The top three in this voting round will advance to a “super final,” where the voting is 100% public. The song that finishes first in the public voting round will represent Estonia in Eurovision 2025.
The Grand Final will begin at 18:15 and continue until 21:50 CET.

Who Are the Favorites Tonight?
In a survey conducted on the website, voters chose Tommy Cash as the favorite to win the “Eesti Laul” tonight with his song “Espresso Macchiato“. The singer received 27.50% of the votes. Elysa ranked second with 20% of the votes, while Andrei Zevakin & Karita came in third with 15% of the votes.
The Euromix editorial team, after listening to the songs, disagreed with the voters’ choice and selected Elysa as the most deserving representative for Estonia at the upcoming Eurovision, awarding her 57 points. Janek came second in the editorial team’s ranking with 55 points. Tommy Cash, the voters’ favorite, placed third with 48 points. According to the betting odds for “Eesti Laul 2025“, Tommy Cash is the big winner of the pre-selection with a 66% chance of winning, while the next in second place is Ant, with only 7% chance of winning. According to a summary of YouTube views, Tommy Cash is also the big winner of the pre-selection, with 1.1 million views, compared to Andrei Zevakin & Karita in second place with only 161,000 views. Based on all the data, any victory in the local pre-selection that is not Tommy Cash‘s would be considered a complete surprise and a sensation.
Tommy Cash – Who Are You?
Tommy Cash, a 32-year-old rapper and producer born in Tallinn, Estonia. He is known mainly for his humorous music style and the provocative music videos that accompany his songs. He began his music career in 2012 and has released many singles over the years in various languages such as Estonian, English, Russian, and Ukrainian. Tommy has toured extensively throughout Europe and collaborated with many well-known artists such as Russia’s Eurovision 2020 representatives Little Big, and American singer Oliver Tree. In 2023, he released the song “It’s Crazy It’s Party” with Finland’s Eurovision 2023 representative, Käärijä. The song was very successful, as both have a very similar music style and vibe. Tommy Cash will be one of the 16 final contestants competing in the Estonian Eurovision pre-selection “Eesti Laul” final to be held tonight, in Tallinn, Estonia.

Familiar Names Among the Contestants
Among the contestants so far, there are eight familiar names:
- Anna Sahlene: Represented Estonia in Eurovision 2002 with the song “Runaway“, finishing third on home ground in Tallinn. She also participated in the Estonian pre-selection in 2022 with the song “Champion“, finishing fourth in the final. Sahlene was a backing vocalist for Sweden in Eurovision 1999 and for the UK in Eurovision 2019. Additionally, she competed in the Swedish Eurovision pre-selection in 2003 (5th place in semi-final), 2006 (5th place in semi-final), and 2009 (7th place in semi-final, in a duet with singer Maria Haukaas Storeng).
- ELYSA: Competed in the Estonian Eurovision pre-selection in 2015 with the song “Superlove” under her full name Elisa Kolk, finishing third. In 2022, she returned under her current stage name with the song “Fire“, finishing second. The following year, she returned with the song “Bad Philosophy“, finishing 11th.
- Minimal Wind: Competed in the Estonian national selection in 2022 with “What to Make of This“, alongside singer Elisabeth Tiffany, finishing second. This year, the group will compete alone.
- Janek: Competed in the Estonian national selection in 2023 with “House of Glass“, finishing fifth.
- Andrei Zevakin: Competed in the Estonian national selection in 2021 with “Wingman“, alongside rapper Pluuto, finishing fifth. The following year, he competed with singer Grete Paia with “Mis Nüüd Saab“, finishing sixth. This year, he will compete with singer Karita.
- Frants Tikerpuu: Competed in the Estonian national selection in 2022 with “Laululind“, alongside singer Triin Niitoja, finishing ninth in the semi-final. This year, Frants Tikerpuu will compete alone.

Estonia in Eurovision 2024
5Miinust & Puuluup represented Estonia at Eurovision 2024 with the song “(Nendest) Narkootikumidest Ei Tea Me (Küll) Midagi”. The song was selected through the national finals Eesti Laul. It finished sixth in the second semi-final with 79 points, qualifying for the grand final against predictions. In the grand final, Estonia placed 20th with 37 points. This marks the third consecutive year Estonia has qualified for the grand final.
Eurovision 2025: This will be Estonia’s 30th participation in Eurovision. Estonia joined the contest in 1994 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2001 when singers Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL, won first place with the song “Everybody”.
