Tonight at 20:15 CET, the Croatian national broadcaster, HRT, will hold the final of “Dora 2025” – which will determine Croatia’s representative and song for Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
Sixteen songs that advanced from two semi-finals will compete in tonight’s final. The winner will be chosen through a combination of public voting (50%) and jury voting (50%). The jury panel will consist of four groups from Croatia and four international groups from Ukraine, Italy, Iceland, and Germany. The Croatian national final will be hosted by Duško Čurlić, Barbara Kolar, accompanied by green room host Zlata Mück Sušec.
The Grand Final will begin at 20:15 CET and conclude at 23:00 CET.

Who to Watch For Tonight

In a poll conducted on the website, Euromix website readers chose the band Magazin to represent Croatia at Eurovision 2025 with their song “AaAaA”, winning 36% of the readers’ votes. In second place with 16% of the votes was the duo Lelek with their song “The Soul of My Soul”. Third place with 12% of the votes resulted in a three-way tie between Ivxn with his song “Monopol”, Marko Skugor with his song “sta da boga molim ja”, and Marko Bosnjak with his song “Poison Cake“.
The EuroMix editorial team, after listening to the songs, agreed with the readers’ choice and selected Magazin to represent Croatia at Eurovision, with 65 points. In second place for the editorial team, with 47 points, was the readers’ third-place choice, Ivxn. Third place with 45 points went to Matt Shaft, who came sixth in the readers’ poll. According to betting agencies, the winner of the pre-selection is also Magazin, with a 32% chance of winning, and not far behind is the band Ogenj with a 23% chance of winning. Based on the total number of YouTube views, a very close race is emerging between Magazin and Marko Skugor, both with 560,000 views, followed by Ogenj with 470,000 views. The race that seems to be shaping up based on the data will be between Magazin and Ogenj. The Croatian pre-selection is unpredictable, and it’s worth not ruling out a win for Marko Skugor, who is also very popular in Croatia.
Magazin – Who are you?
Magazin is a popular Croatian pop band formed in 1979 in the city of Split. The band has become one of the most successful and veteran in the region, known for catchy melodies and emotional ballads. Magazin’s music combines influences of pop, folk, and dance, creating a unique sound that has captured the hearts of audiences across the Balkans. The band has a long romance with the Eurovision competition, representing Croatia at Eurovision 1995 with the song “Nostalgija“, with which they reached sixth place, and also participated in several pre-selections in addition to that. The band’s current singer, Lorena Bucan, is also experienced in Croatian pre-selections, having participated in two other pre-selections in the past, in one of which she even reached second place.

Among the contestants, several familiar names:
- Magazin – Croatia’s representatives at Eurovision 1995 with their song “Nostalgija“, and participants in several “Dora” selections in the 90s and early 2000s. Since then, the band has undergone structural changes, and in the past year, the lead vocalist has been young singer Lorena Bućan, who competed in the Croatian national selection in 2019 with her song “Tower of Babylon” and in 2020 with “Drowning“.
- Marko Bošnjak – competed in the Eurovision national selection in 2022 with his song “Moli za nas” and reached second place.
- Luka Nižetić – competed in the Eurovision national selection in 2019 with his song “Brutalero” and reached third place.
- Marko Tolja – Competed in the Eurovision national selection in 2007 with his song “Deja Vu” and in 2009 with “Stranci“.
Croatia’s Dora 2025 Details
Croatia’s Eurovision pre-selection “Dora 2025” will be held at the Sports hall Marino Cvetkovic in Opatija. The selection will include two semi-finals and a final. In the semi-finals, voting will be determined solely by the audience, while in the final, voting will be split between 50% audience, 25% local Croatian jury, and 25% international jury. The dates for Croatia’s Eurovision selection are:
First Semi-Final: Thursday, February 27th.
Second Semi-Final: Friday, February 28th.
Final: Sunday, March 2nd.
Croatia in Eurovision 2024
“Rim Tim Tagi Dim” is the name of the song performed by the singer Baby Lasagna, which was chosen to represent Croatia after winning the national finals. Croatia advanced to the final after winning the first semi-final with 177 points, and in the grand final, it reached second place with 547 points.
Croatia won the public vote but finished in second place in the overall tally. This is Croatia’s best achievement in all its years of participation.
Eurovision 2025: This will be Croatia’s 30th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Croatia joined the competition in 1993 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2024 by finishing in second place with the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” performed by the singer Baby Lasagna.
