Nina Žižić, Montenegro’s representative was the second act to rehearse today on the Eurovision 2025 stage with their song “Dobrodošli“. Nina Žižić will perform as song number 2 in the second semi-final, scheduled for May 15th.
Montenegro is returning in full force this year after a two-year absence, sending its representative to Eurovision 2013, Nina Žižić, for the second time! This time, Nina will perform a ballad, leaving behind the neon green of “Igranka” in favor of black and white. The song “Dobrodošli” deals with mental resilience and emotional complexity in the face of life’s challenges. It describes the protagonist’s journey through uncertainty and emotional struggles, encouraging listeners to face difficulties with courage and hope, understanding that hardships are temporary. Through poetic imagery, the song focuses on community, love, and shared human fragility, presenting life as a show where joy and sorrow are intertwined. The central message emphasizes perseverance and finding comfort in connecting with others.
Innovative Stage Design and Visual Effects
Montenegro is making a long-awaited return to Eurovision 2025, and fans are excited to welcome them back in the competition. Nina Žižić, a singer-songwriter with a career spanning two decades, is representing Montenegro for the second time. Her first appearance was in 2013, when she provided powerful vocals for the Montenegrin dubstep duo Who See in Malmö, Sweden. The song “Igranka” remains a Eurovision classic, still enjoyed by fans 12 years later.
This year, Nina presents a very different vibe with “Dobrodošli“, a Balkan power ballad in the style of James Bond themes, featuring a sweeping orchestral arrangement. During the “Montesong”, she performed in a structured white dress with an eye mask, while the official music video shows her in a black dress without a mask. For her first rehearsal, her outfit is similar to the Montesong look but also distinctly different.
The mask stays on until the first bridge leading to the chorus. The white dress now includes a large, dramatic train and a built-in fabric panel extending from the head down past the knees. Nina’s red lipstick is the only touch of color on the all-white outfit. From certain side views, she almost looks like a swan, adding a dramatic effect.
The LED backdrop displays swirling white light particles that come together to form dynamic shapes, with smart use of blue and white lighting that intensifies throughout the song. This performance is less static than her Montesong appearance, thanks to the larger stage-Nina starts in the center and then walks to the front for a powerful vocal finish.
Pyrotechnics and Special Effects
In terms of pyrotechnics, white smoke will be used on the stage floor would give the song a dramatic and lyrical atmosphere.
The photos from the rehearsal will be updated later.
