After months of speculation, Austria sets a dramatic date for the official reveal of the Eurovision 2026 hosts, raising tension and excitement ahead of the announcement.

It was recently announced that tomorrow, January 29th, the hosts of Eurovision 2026 will be officially revealed. The announcement will be broadcast live on Ö3’s morning show, followed by a formal press conference in Vienna. At this stage, the official names of the hosts have not been released, but Victoria Swarovski is mentioned as the leading candidate – alongside another host whose identity remains secret and is described as a surprise.

Swarovski, 32, from Tyrol, has signed a contract with RTL and currently hosts the popular show “Let’s Dance”. The identity of the male host, which has not yet been revealed, continues to spark speculation after names such as Paul PizzeraPhilipp Hochmair, and Michael Niavarani have circulated in Austrian media since last summer. However, the man who will co-host alongside Victoria is described as an award-winning actor, author, and presenter – a previously undisclosed detail that raises even more curiosity.

In addition, the Austrian national broadcaster ORF will officially announce the role of Eurovision commentator Andi Knoll during the competition, which will take place from May 12th to May 16th.

Conchita Wurst Will Be Absent from Upcoming Events

Despite widespread rumors in recent months, Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst has already confirmed she will not take part in the 2026 contest, after announcing she has decided to part ways with the Eurovision world. The beloved performer will also not participate in the upcoming “Eurovision Song Contest Live Tour” scheduled for June, which includes ten major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.

Eurovision 2026: the 70th edition of the contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026. The Wiener Stadthalle arena, which will host the event, is expected to accommodate around 16,000 spectators per show. The contest returns to Austria following the nation’s third historic win with the song “Wasted Love”, performed by JJ. It will be Austria’s third time hosting Eurovision, after previous editions held in the country in 1967 and 2015.
