CyBC is considering Josephine, Biased Beast and Ivi Adamou as potential Cyprus representatives for Eurovision 2027 in Burgas.
Three artists have been proposed to CyBC ahead of Eurovision 2027 in Burgas, including Cyprus’ Eurovision 2012 representative and a singer who came close to representing the country this year.
The names of several artists proposed to the Cypriot national broadcaster, CyBC, as potential representatives for Cyprus at Eurovision 2027 have been revealed on the Cypriot television programme “Pame Pareá” (in English: “Let’s Go Together”) on OMEGA TV.
As previously reported by Eurovisionfun, record labels Heaven Music and PANIK Records have proposed several well-known and popular artists from their rosters as potential representatives for Cyprus at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The programme revealed three of these names, who are considered leading candidates – information that also matches information obtained by EuroMix.
Josephine
For another year, Heaven Music has proposed Josephine as a potential representative for Cyprus at Eurovision.
The popular Greek singer came very close to representing Cyprus last year, but lost to Antigoni in the jury vote organised by CyBC to select the country’s representative.
Now signed to a new record label and working with new collaborators, Josephine reportedly wants to finally make the Eurovision step in her career after several previous attempts.
Biased Beast
The second name revealed is Biased Beast, the young Cypriot artist impressed with his vocal abilities on Your Face Sounds Familiar, receiving praise from both the judges and fellow contestants. Sakis Rouvas and George Theofanous also encouraged him to represent Cyprus at Eurovision.
Biased Beast has been proposed by PANIK Records. His distinctive artistic style is considered by many to be something that could help him stand out on the Eurovision stage.
Ivi Adamou
The third name, also proposed by PANIK Records, is Ivi Adamou, who could potentially return to the Eurovision stage for a second time.
Adamou represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2012 at just 18 years old with the fan-favourite song “La La Love”, finishing 16th in the Grand Final. Since then, many Eurovision fans have argued that she deserves a second opportunity, with her name appearing among the potential Cypriot candidates almost every year.
According to the report by Pame Pareá, should CyBC select Ivi Adamou, she would be interested in returning to Eurovision with a song by Alex Papaconstantinou, the songwriter behind “La La Love” as well as Cyprus’ Eurovision entries “Fuego” and “Replay”.
This could also offer an indication of the musical direction Adamou would be interested in pursuing as part of her Eurovision comeback.
Ahead of Eurovision 2027 in Burgas, there is also an interesting Bulgarian connection: Ivi Adamou’s mother is of Bulgarian descent.
A National Final
During the upcoming week, a well-known TV production company operating in Cyprus, linked to a major commercial broadcasting channel, is expected to present a detailed proposal to CyBC’s management for an official national final. A recognized television director behind the project will attend a special meeting with senior broadcaster officials to present the full plan.
According to details revealed by journalist Kostas Karnakis on the show “Me Agapi Christiana” on ALPHA Cyprus, the proposed model includes a series of clear features:

All production costs will be covered by the production company and commercial sponsorship, at no financial cost to CyBC.

Registration will be open to artists from Cyprus and Greece, with every entry required to feature at least one Cypriot creator (performer, composer, or lyricist).

Rumors suggest a main sponsor is already secured – a large Greek cosmetics company.

The competition will feature ten entries performed live.

The televised selection will include the word “Festival” in its official name.

The winner will be determined by a combination of public voting and a professional jury.
Cyprus at Eurovision 2026
“JALLA” (in English: “More”) is the song that was performed by the singer Antigoni, who represented Cyprus in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Cyprus qualified for the final from the second semi-final and finished 19th in the grand final, scoring 75 points.
