Eurovision 2026 winner DARA and Junior Eurovision 2025 champion Lou Deleuze will perform alongside Maltese stars at Junior Eurovision 2026.

Junior Eurovision 2026 will take place tomorrow evening at 21:00 CET in Attard, Malta, at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC), the country’s largest events and exhibition venue. The show will bring together stars from past and present editions of both the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest. Alongside the 16 competing countries, viewers will enjoy special performances, including appearances by the most recent winners of the two competitions: DARA from Bulgaria and Lou Deleuze from France.

A rare meeting between the Eurovision and Junior Eurovision winners

DARA, who won Eurovision 2026 in Vienna with the song “Bangaranga”, will take to the Junior Eurovision 2026 stage. The Bulgarian singer will perform alongside Lou Deleuze, winner of Junior Eurovision 2025, in a musical collaboration bringing together the reigning Eurovision champion and last year’s Junior Eurovision winner.

DARA’s participation is particularly notable because she is appearing at the contest so soon after winning Eurovision. The performance will give the young audience an opportunity to see the singer who brought Bulgaria its Eurovision victory up close.

There have been relatively few instances of Eurovision winners appearing as interval acts at Junior Eurovision, making DARA a particularly significant addition to Malta’s show.

Serving up a show: Malta’s Eurovision stars take the stage

AIDAN, who represented Malta at Eurovision 2026 with the song “Bella”, is one of the best-known artists on the local pop scene. After finishing 18th in the Eurovision final, he is expected to have a dedicated performance slot, alongside a subsequent show featuring Malta’s Eurovision representatives.

Miriana Conte, who represented Malta at Eurovision 2025 in Basel with the song “Serving”, will return to the Maltese Eurovision stage as part of Junior Eurovision 2026. Conte qualified for the Eurovision final in Basel and finished 17th, ending Malta’s three-year run of failing to reach the final.

The singer will take part in a special show titled “Obsessed with (junior) Eurovision”, celebrating Malta’s history in both Eurovision and Junior Eurovision. She will appear alongside the contest’s hosts: Destiny, who was the favourite to win Eurovision 2021 and previously won Junior Eurovision in 2015; Gaia Cauchi, winner of Junior Eurovision 2013; and actor Keane Cutajar.

Junior Eurovision 2026: Lou Deleuze and her song “Ce Monde” (in English: “This World”) gave France its fourth victory in the contest out of the six times it has participated. France won last year but passed on the right to host the competition. Consequently, the contest will take place in Attard, Malta, on October 24th. This is the third time the contest is being held in the country.
