Luxembourg gears up for Eurovision 2025 with a star-studded songwriting camp, uniting top Eurovision talents to create winning hits.

Luxembourg is setting the stage for Eurovision 2025 with an ambitious songwriting camp scheduled from September 27 to 30 at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. Organized by Rocklab and supported by Kultur lX, Arts Council Luxembourg, and others, the camp aims to craft the perfect entry for the Luxembourg Song Contest, which will determine the country’s Eurovision representative.

A Collaborative Effort

The camp will bring together a diverse group of local and international songwriters and producers. Their collective experience in previous Eurovision entries promises a dynamic and creative environment. Confirmed international producers, songwriters, and topliners include:

  • Linda Dale: Writer of “The Code” for Switzerland 2024, and “Queen of Kings” for Norway 2023.
  • Pete Barringer: Co-writer and producer of “Je Me Casse” for Malta 2021, “Flashlight” for Poland 2017, and “My Turn” for Czechia 2017.
  • Maria Broberg: Co-writer for “Stay” for Moldova 2019, and co-writer and backing singer for “Solo” for Poland 2023.
  • Abi F Jones: Co-writer of “Lights Off” for Czechia 2022.
  • Bruce R F Smith: Co-writer of “My Impossible Dream” for the Netherlands 2005, and “Devil In The Detail” performed by One Last Time for Luxembourg National finals 2024.
  • Simon Davis: Co-writer and producer of “Undream You,” German National Finalist 2023.
  • Udo Mechels: Performer of “Hero” for the National finals of Belgium 2014, and writer of “Fly” and “Skyscraper” performed by Teodora Dinu in Romanian finals 2018 and 2019, respectively, and “You Lift Me Up” performed by Loredana in Belgian finals 2023.

Participants will work in small, guided groups to produce songs that could potentially become Eurovision hits. The camp offers a unique opportunity for artists to expand their professional networks and gain valuable insights into the world of songwriting and production.

A Return to the Spotlight

Luxembourg’s return to Eurovision in 2024, after a 31-year hiatus, was marked by Tali’s performance of “Fighter,” which secured a respectable 13th place. This renewed enthusiasm has led to the opening of registrations for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025, with the aim of selecting a standout performer to represent the nation on the international stage.
