Malta’s three-time Eurovision representative Chiara is set to perform in Tel Aviv, Israel, marking the first major international guest announcement for the 40th-anniversary celebration of OGAE Israel.
Following the election of the new leadership of the Israeli Eurovision fan club last August, it was promised that planning the 40th-anniversary event was a top priority, featuring many surprises. Now, the promise becomes an exciting reality: OGAE Israel (the local branch of the official global fan club network) is proud to announce a massive party taking place on Thursday, November 19th, 2026.

An International Eurovision Lineup Returns to Tel Aviv
The festive event, which will be held at the Callas club in Tel Aviv, is expected to gather four decades of songs and love for the competition for one unforgettable evening. The highlight of the event is the exciting news for the local fans: for the first time in years, an international lineup of approximately three to four Eurovision artists will arrive in Israel to perform live on stage. They will be joined by past Israeli Eurovision representatives and local national selection participants, creating a massive celebration of the contest’s history.
The first international artist to be officially announced is none other than Chiara, who represented Malta at Eurovision 1998 with the song “The One That I Love“, finishing in third place in a close battle for the win with Dana International. The singer is also remembered for her participation in Eurovision 2005 with the song “Angel“, where she reached second place, and in 2009, she returned to the competition with the song “What If We“, finishing in 22nd place.

Event Details and 40 Years of Community
Doors for the event will open at 19:00 CET (20:00 local time), and the main show will kick off at 20:00 CET (21:00 local time).
Beyond the live performances and the party that will continue into the night, the venue’s bar is preparing a special cocktail menu inspired by the four historic victories of the Israeli entries in the competition: “A-Ba-Ni-Bi“, “Hallelujah“, “Diva“, and “Toy“.
The OGAE Israel club operates entirely on a volunteer basis and brings together the community that lives and breathes the competition throughout the year, far beyond the Eurovision week itself. The club organizes parties, performances, meetings with artists, and joint viewings. The 40th-anniversary celebrations are a historical milestone testifying to the strength and cohesion of the Israeli fan community.

Malta at Eurovision 2026
“Bella” (in English: “Beautiful”) is the song that was performed by the singer Aidan, which represented Malta in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Malta qualified to the final from the second semi final, and finished 18th in the grand final, scoring 89 points.
The song was written by Aidan himself together with Joep Van Den Boom and Sarah Bonnici. Bonnici previously represented Malta as a singer and songwriter at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Loop“, which finished last in its semi-final. The song is performed in English, Italian and Maltese.
Eurovision 2027: This will be Malta’s 39th participation in Eurovision. Malta joined the competition in 1971 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2002 and Eurovision 2005 after finishing second twice.
