Rising star Red Sebastian is leading the Eurovision 2025 betting odds, boasting an impressive career that has already earned him musical recognition. But does this justify the hype? Get to know the candidate!

This coming Saturday, February 1, at 20:55 CET, the grand finale of the Belgian pre-selection for Eurovision 2025, “Eurosong 2025,” will take place. Belgium will be the sixth country to reveal its song for the international competition, following Montenegro, Albania, Luxembourg, Greece, and Slovenia. Out of eight competing songs in the Belgian pre-selection, one will be chosen to represent Belgium in Basel, Switzerland.

One of the most intriguing contestants is undoubtedly Red Sebastian. At the age of 25, he has already become a phenomenon in the Belgian music industry, and he is currently leading the betting odds for Eurovision 2025. His song “Strobe Lights” offers a powerful musical experience that promises to resonate far and wide. Sebastian’s musical persona has been steadily built in front of the audience, thanks to a career that started early and his extraordinary talent.

In a recent interview for escbubble, the singer discussed his deep connection to Eurovision, “I’ve always dreamed of being on this stage since I was a little kid.” His passion for Eurovision began at a young age with the Belgian pre-Eurovision competitions and the Junior Eurovision. He recalls the first time he watched Eurovision in 2006, when the band Lordi took the stage: “It was scary but also thrilling, I screamed the lyrics of ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’ along with my friends.”

Musical Background and Inspirations

Beyond his love for Eurovision, he also describes his rich musical background. From studying piano at a music academy in his hometown to studying at a conservatory where he met teachers who deeply influenced his vocal ability and songwriting skills. Gustaph, who represented Belgium at Eurovision 2023, was one of Sebastian’s teachers and had a significant impact on him. The song “Strobe Lights,” with which he is competing in the Belgian pre-Eurovision, Eurosong 2025, describes an unforgettable night out with friends. Sebastian describes the song as “flashing, euphoric, and impressive,” and says it is meant to enjoy life and make the most of it.

At the time of publication, Red Sebastian is in first place in the Eurovision 2025 betting odds with an 11% chance of winning, closely followed by Yuval Rafael, Israel‘s representative for the upcoming Eurovision, also with an 11% chance of winning. The competition promises to be fascinating, as both display different yet stunning musical talents. It’s important to note that betting odds are based on people wagering their money on countries they believe are likely to win the upcoming Eurovision. Most of it is based on the countries’ results in previous years, and the odds may change thousands of times until May. At this stage, not all representatives and songs for this year’s Eurovision are known, and there are still pre-Eurovision competitions that have not revealed their songs and competing artists. Therefore, the betting odds should be taken with proportion.

In addition to his musical career, Sebastian has a rich and full personal life. He emphasizes the importance of the time he spends with his family and friends, which allows him to maintain balance in his life. “When I’m not making music, I spend quality time with the people I love,” he says, adding that he is also a sports and fashion enthusiast, areas in which he finds another outlet for his creativity.

As an artist, he tends to blend different genres while maintaining authenticity and sincerity in every creation. Through his strong and impressive voice, Sebastian manages to convey genuine and powerful emotions, allowing him to connect deeply with his audience. He describes his musical influences as a mix of classic pop with touches of dance and electronica, ensuring a strong and energetic performance every time he takes the stage.

Red Sebastian‘s future is especially intriguing. With the chance to represent Belgium, he hopes to bring his best to the grand stage. “I feel this is a rare opportunity to show the world my art and turn a dream into reality,” he explains. With a career that already includes appearances on shows like “Belgium’s Got Talent” and “Sing Again,” Sebastian feels prepared to showcase his capabilities to the world: “This would be the best birthday present for me.”
