Is Poland on the verge of change? The Polish national broadcaster, TVP, is considering replacing its current national selection format with the Israeli model.

The Polish national broadcaster has revealed that it is considering replacing the national selection for Eurovision with the reality competition show “The Voice Poland”. According to a recent post published by the broadcaster, the winner of The Voice Poland could potentially not only win the reality show itself but also secure the opportunity to represent Poland at Eurovision 2026. This approach would align with Israel’s model, which has been successfully using its own version, “HaKokhav HaBa”.

Such a decision would mark a major change for Poland, which has frequently altered its Eurovision selection format in recent years. Since 2019, the country has not maintained the same selection method for more than two consecutive years, a fact that underscores its instability. Poland’s placements at Eurovision also vary drastically from year to year, in stark contrast to countries such as Sweden and Italy, which rely on traditional selection processes that usually guarantee stronger and more consistent results.

Choosing a representative through a reality show could ensure strong, vocally skilled singers who already enjoy broad public support. However, officials at the Polish national broadcaster emphasized that no official decision has yet been made, and the idea remains under review.

The pressing question remains: Will Poland pick its next Eurovision act through The Voice Poland, or will it stick with the national selection format it introduced only this year – at least for one more edition? The decision is expected in the coming months and could represent another turning point for Poland in the contest.
