Revamping the Estonian Entry for Eurovision
he band members shared that they felt the need to upgrade the song to make it more “punchy” and alive on stage. The new version leans further into a powerful pop-rock style, aiming to fully capitalize on the energy of a live performance in front of a European audience.
They also revealed that their performance in Vienna will be fundamentally different from what we saw at the national selection, Eesti Laul, and will include a completely new staging adapted to the main Eurovision stage.
The new music video, directed by Sander Allikmäe, presents the band in a raw and authentic light. The members are seen performing in a closed space designed as an improvised rehearsal room, filled with speakers and microphones, alongside a drummer.
This artistic choice has sparked considerable interest among fans, as the clip’s rough and intimate atmosphere stands in stark contrast to the grand and polished production expected on the Eurovision stage in Vienna. This contrast raises questions about the visual direction Estonia will ultimately choose—whether they will bring this raw rehearsal-room energy to the big stage, or use it as a deliberate misdirection to surprise viewers with something entirely different.
The group is expected to perform the revamped version for the first time this coming Sunday, April 19th, at the London Eurovision Party.
