Arsi Bako won Albania’s Festivali i Pranverës with “Humb” and became the first artist confirmed for Festivali i Këngës 65, potentially entering the early Eurovision 2027 selection race.
The Albanian singer Arsi Bako has become the first artist to secure a place in the upcoming edition of “Festivali i Këngës”, after winning the Albanian Spring Festival “Festivali i Pranverës” with the song “Humb” (In English: “to lose”). Under the new format introduced by Albania’s national broadcaster RTSH, the winner of the competition receives an automatic entry into “Festivali i Këngës 65”.
However, it is important to underline that Albania has not yet officially confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2027, nor has it announced how its entry will be selected. Nevertheless, in recent years “Festivali i Këngës” has consistently served as Albania’s Eurovision selection format, and many Eurovision fans expect this tradition to continue.

The Albanian Spring Festival “Festivali i Pranverës” has returned to television after 23 years of absence, marking a revival of one of the country’s previously established music competitions. As part of its relaunch, RTSH introduced a new structure in which the winner is granted a guaranteed place in “Festivali i Këngës 65”. This move positions the festival as a formal preliminary stage in Albania’s Eurovision selection season and strengthens its role in promoting emerging musical talent.
Arsi Bako – Who Are You?
Arsi Bako is an Albanian singer-songwriter active in the country’s pop music scene in recent years. She first gained recognition through her participation in “Festivali i Këngës 61”, Albania’s national final for Eurovision 2023, with the song “Sonte dua të jem me ty” (In English: “Tonight I Want To Be With You”), where she was eliminated in the semi-final. She returned the following year with “Zgjohu” (In English: “Wake Up”) in “Festivali i Këngës 62”, advancing to the final and joining the list of finalists.
For Eurovision fans, Arsi Bako is not a new name. Following two appearances in Albania’s national selection, her victory at the Spring Festival now makes her the first confirmed participant for the upcoming edition of “Festivali i Këngës”, placing her among the earliest potential contenders for Albania’s Eurovision 2027 representative.
