Preparations for Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria are underway, and the list of participating countries is taking shape. While everyone waits for official announcements, we’ve decided to get ahead and reveal the artists who simply must compete. We continue with the next countries to confirm participation in Eurovision 2027: the United Kingdom, Canada, and Denmark. Here is the list of artists for whom we believe the Eurovision stage is the perfect platform for them.

Grace Gachot:
Grace Gachot is a Spanish-born singer-songwriter based in the UK. Her father is former race car driver Bertrand Gachot, and her mother is hypnotherapist Amanda Brady. In September 2022, Grace released her debut single, “Fuckboy Tragedy,” which accumulated hundreds of thousands of streams across various platforms.
Grace’s music reflects her love for fairytales and her longing for old-school Hollywood romance, set against the backdrop of an era where true love is hard to find. Her heartfelt lyrics dive into themes of love, self-worth, and kindness, driven by a firm goal to inspire young girls to believe in themselves. Grace hopes to connect deeply with her listeners through personal, unfiltered songwriting.
YONAKA:
YONAKA is an English rock band from Brighton. The band consists of vocalist Theresa Jarvis, George Edwards on guitar, and Alex Crosby on bass and keyboards. YONAKA released their debut album, “Don’t Wait ‘Til Tomorrow,” on May 31, 2019.
On July 15, 2021, the band released “Seize the Power,” the mixtape that boosted their popularity. Right upon revealing the project, the band commented:
“It’s been so long since we’ve put new music out and the time is finally here. This is a new chapter for us – we want you to get lost in a feeling of strength and empowerment when you listen to this.”
It would be so refreshing to see the UK send a rock band to the competition; perhaps this is the turning point the Brits so desperately need.
JADE:
JADE, or by her full name Jade Thirlwall, grew up in South Shields, a coastal town in North East England. Jade is the daughter of Norma and James, and has an older brother named Carl. Thirlwall is of Egyptian and Yemeni descent on her mother’s side and British on her father’s. Jade revealed that during her childhood she suffered from bullying due to her Arab heritage. She grew up in a home that blended ’80s ballads with Arabic music.
Thirlwall’s first breakthrough came at age 18 when she was placed in the group Little Mix. Little Mix became the second-best-selling British girl group of all time, with hits like “Black Magic” and “Shout Out to My Ex.” The group broke up in 2022.
Thirlwall always wanted to be a solo artist, and since 2024, she has been performing under the stage name JADE. She signed a recording contract with RCA Records, though her releases were paced to allow her to work at her own speed. Her debut single, “Angel of My Dreams” addresses the dark side of the music industry. This is a recurring theme in her debut album, “!THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY“. Jade’s name is arguably the British artist mentioned most frequently as the perfect representative to bring the UK back to its glory days at Eurovision.
Danae:
Valencia Grace is a young singer born in Oxford, UK, on June 24, 2003, and is 23 years old. Grace began her journey in musical theater as a child and later gained recognition on social media during the pandemic, leading to her signing with major labels and releasing her debut single, “It Was You,” in 2022. Valencia’s music is characterized by an uncompromising theatricality blended with dark pop.
Following standout songs such as “S!ut,” “Lucky You’re a Star,” and “Voodoo,” Valencia emerged as a unique new voice in contemporary pop. Subsequently, her growing prominence led her to perform and showcase her music at major festivals, including Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and BST Hyde Park.

Rêve:
Briannah Charlie Donolo, known by her stage name Rêve, is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She is best known for her singles “Ctrl + Alt + Del,” which won the 2023 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year and achieved double platinum certification in Canada, and “Whitney,” which topped the US Dance Radio chart. Additionally, her debut album, “Saturn Return“, was nominated for a Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year.
Rêve’s name is particularly familiar to Eurovision fans, as she is the first Canadian artist to express interest in representing her country at Eurovision 2027. Rêve presents bold, catchy female pop that stays in your head. Rêve would be an amazing choice as Canada’s inaugural representative in the contest held in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Faouzia:
Faouzia Ouihya, known mononymously as Faouzia, was born on July 5, 2000, and is 26 years old. Faouzia is a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and moved with her family at age five to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba, Canada. Faouzia is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. Blending these languages could be incorporated into a song if she is chosen as Canada’s representative, a move that would make her stand out significantly among the other contestants.
In 2017, Faouzia won first place in the International Songwriting Competition, the world’s largest songwriting contest, with her single The Sound“. During the competition, Faouzia prevailed over 16,000 songwriters from 137 different countries. Faouzia is undoubtedly the name Eurovision fans most want to see as Canada’s representative in the coveted contest, and rightfully so. She is a phenomenal, versatile singer who can deliver both catchy bops and deeply emotional ballads.
Kiesza:
Kiesa Rae Ellestad, known by her stage name Kiesza, is a Canadian singer-songwriter born on January 16, 1989, and is 37 years old. Her breakthrough came on April 11, 2014, when she released the single “Hideaway.” It remains her most successful track, amassing hundreds of millions of streams across various music platforms and reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart.
Following that success, she faced a severe setback. The singer was involved in a car accident in Toronto in 2017, suffering severe injuries that forced her to take a multi-year hiatus from music to recover. After a two-year break due to the accident, which left her with a traumatic brain injury, Kiesza released the single “Sweet Love” and returned to performing in June 2019. In 2020, she released her second album, “Crave“. Since then, Kiesza has proven that she is here to stay, consistently releasing new music.
Zeina:
Zeina, 30, was born in Brooklyn on March 12, 1996, and raised in Montreal. She is an artist breaking musical boundaries as a singer-songwriter and performer, blending diverse genres. Her roots are as varied as her talents; her parents, who immigrated from Lebanon, shaped her multilingual fluency in French, Arabic, and English. A former medical student, Zeina courageously pivoted to the music world, finding what she describes as her “redemption”.
Influenced by early 2000s R&B and pop, as well as her childhood in Arab society – where she experienced and absorbed Arab culture, lifestyle, and upbringing- Zeina has carved out a unique path as an international ambassador representing French, Arabic, English, Middle Eastern, and North African cultures. Her second single, “Nasty,” showcases her versatility and multilingual mastery, amassing over 25 million views across social media and more than 10 million streams worldwide.

Ericka Jane:
Ericka Jane Pedersen, known by her stage name Ericka Jane, is a Danish-Filipino singer born in Manila Philipines on July 20, 1995, and is 31 years old. Jane participated in “X Factor Denmark” in 2011, but was not selected by her mentor, Cutfather, to advance to the live shows. She experienced her initial breakthrough thanks to the success of the track “Only For The Better,” which she sang alongside Swedish DJ John de Sohn.
Many Danes knew Ericka before 2026, but the vast majority of Eurovision fans had no idea who she was until she competed in the Danish national selection “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026” with the bop “Death Of Me.” Immediately upon its release, Eurovision fans fell in love with the song, and she even won EuroMix’s poll to represent Denmark at Eurovision 2026. Ultimately, Ericka had to settle for second place, finishing just 9 points behind Søren Torpegaard Lund, who took first place with the Danish-language hit “Før vi går hjem“. He went on to finish 7th at Eurovision with 243 points – Denmark’s best result in the contest since Emmelie de Forest‘s victory in 2013 with her song “Only Teardrops“.
Saveus:
Martin Hoberg Hedegaard, also known by his stage name Saveus, is a Danish singer, songwriter, and record producer. Martin was born in Ørum, Central Jutland, Denmark, where he grew up alongside his mother Gitta, his father Peder, and his two older brothers, Anders and Simon. Martin is 33 years old, born on October 9, 1992.
In 2018, he released his debut album, “Neuro“, which featured the singles “Ready to Die” and “Time Can Heal a Man” – both receiving extensive airplay on various radio stations across Europe. That same year, he opened the famous Roskilde Festival in front of an audience of over 60,000 people, a performance that earned widespread critical acclaim. Saveus is capable of continuing Denmark’s success from Eurovision 2026. Should he represent the country, a performance of a song like “Dark Vibrations” could keep Denmark in the top 10 and perhaps even push them into the top 5.
Mille:
Mille Liendgaard, currently performing under the stage name Mille, was born in Aarhus, Denmark, on October 7, 2006, and is 19 years old. In 2018, when she was just 11 years old, she won the MGP Junior contest with her song “Til næste år“. She had submitted entries to the competition for four consecutive years before securing her victory. Following her win, Mille continued collaborating with a producer from the show and later relocated to Copenhagen to advance her career.
Liendgaard made her debut under the stage name “Mille” with the release of her EP “Dagdrømmer” on February 2, 2024. The EP’s title track achieved platinum certification by IFPI Danmark. Shortly after, in June 2024, Mille held her first live performance at the Byhaven arena at the Pumpehuset venue in Copenhagen. If Denmark is looking to send a song in its native language once again, Mille is undoubtedly the right and perfect choice for them; all of her songs are sung in Danish, and she brings a unique, intriguing sound with her.
Anja Nissen:
Anja Nissen, often known mononymously as Anja, is a Danish-Australian singer born on November 6, 1995, and is 30 years old. Many may not know that Anja competed in and won the third season of The Voice Australia. Following her victory, Nissen signed a recording contract with Universal Music Group, citing Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, and Stevie Wonder among her musical influences.
In 2016, Nissen competed in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 with the song “Never Alone,” finishing in second place with 36% of the vote. In 2017, Nissen returned to the Danish selection with the song “Where I Am,” which she co-wrote. Anja won the competition and represented Denmark at Eurovision 2017, where she placed 20th in the Grand Final – a result to this day considered widely unjust. Artists who have already competed in Eurovision rarely feature in this series of articles, but in her case, it is inevitable. She needs to come back and settle her unfinished business with Eurovision.
