Special: Who are the potential artists to compete in Eurovision 2025 in Switzerland? Who are the artists we would like to see in the next competition? Australia, Israel, Greece & Cyprus.
The Eurovision 2025 season is approaching, and with it the main question: which artists will we see representing their country in the competition? In our series of articles, we will introduce you to several well-known artists from each country, whom we believe are worthy of representing their country and whom we would like to see on the Eurovision stage in Switzerland.
Each article will focus on four different countries and several artists from each country, so through these articles you can get to know many new artists, and perhaps we will even see some of them in future competitions! So who are the artists that could bring the best result for Australia, Israel, Greece & Cyprus?
Who should represent Greece?
The Greek national broadcaster, ERT, has not yet confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2025, but it is known that a songwriting camp was held in the country and many artists have expressed interest in representing Greece in the competition. Who do we think is most worthy of raising the Greek flag in Switzerland?
Zaf: A 25-year-old Greek pop singer born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He’s a new artist in the industry and started his career just a year ago when he released his first song “Pes” together with Greek-Albanian singer Christos Mastoras. Like many artists in Greece, he is signed to the record label “Panik Records Tube”. About a month ago, he released his new song “True Love Story” which was very successful. He opened for the famous band Coldplay in their performance in Greece, and frequently performs in joint shows with Eurovision 2018 runner-up, Cyprus representative Eleni Foureira. Zaf is one big talent bomb, with strong charisma and the ability to hold the stage perfectly, and will bring Greece an excellent result.
Evangelia: A 33-year-old Greek singer born in the United States, known for her music style characterized by combinations of modern pop and traditional Greek and Middle Eastern music. In the past, Evangelia collaborated with the well-known singer Eleni Foureira, who represented Cyprus in 2018 and came second, with whom she released the song “Fotiá” which was very successful in Greece and Cyprus. Evangelia is already familiar with the Eurovision world, in recent years she has been trying to represent Greece and Cyprus persistently, sending songs to the selection processes of both countries, some of which she even released as singles – such as “Ónira” which she sent to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022, “Aphrodite“, which she sent to the Cypriot internal selection that same year, and “Pali” which she sent to represent Greece in 2023. Recently, it was revealed that Evangelia sent a song to Greece to represent it in Eurovision 2025, and she is doing so with the backing of Marina Satti‘s team, who represented Greece in 2024 with her song “Zari“. Will we finally get to see Evangelia representing Greece this year? Only time will tell...
Archangel: a 21-year-old Greek singer born in Heraklion, Greece. Later, he moved to study in Cyprus. Archangel is known as the runner-up in the seventh season of X Factor Greece, where he gained initial recognition. In June 2023, while also signed to the Greek record label “Panik Records Tube”, the singer released his first and only song “Marioneta” which received a lot of positive feedback as one of the best songs in the Greek music industry. Despite being a singer with only one song, he is expected to release more songs in the future, and maybe represent his country in Eurovision.
Who should represent Cyprus?
After the Cypriot national broadcaster, RIK, announced that it will continue with the internal selection method this year, local media now reports that the search for the artist to represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is almost complete. Will we get to see one of the following artists on the competition stage?
Good Job Nicky: A 28-year-old Greek singer born in Athens, Greece, to parents involved in singing and acting. He began his music career in 2020 when he released his first song “January 8th” and then two more singles while signed to “Coblat Music” record label. In 2022, he released three more singles, with one of them, “Heaven Is Sin“, submitted to the Greek national broadcaster in an attempt to represent Greece in Eurovision 2022. The singer also tried to represent Greece in Eurovision 2024, but his attempts were unsuccessful. Will 2025 be his lucky year? With the singer’s amazing vocal talent and the emotion he puts into his creations, he could easily win the audience’s hearts and reach high.
Theo Evan: Theo is a singer of Cypriot descent who lives in the United States. He began his music career in 2021, when he released his first song “The Wall” which received many positive reviews. Since 2022, he has released five more new singles with different and unique styles. He released his newest song “Fading Dreams” at the end of August. Theo is a talented artist in dancing and singing, and with the right song, he could bring Cyprus an amazing result!
Miltos Charovas: A 19-year-old Greek singer born in Rhodes, Greece. In 2022, he participated in the seventh season of the Greek “X Factor” series and reached 9th place. In 2023, while also signed to the Greek record label “Panik Records Tube”, he released his first single “Soma Daneiko“. About two months ago, he released his second song “Poso Tha Ithela“. Miltos is a pop star who could easily succeed in the Eurovision contest with a catchy song in the original language and bring Cyprus an excellent result.
Who should represent Australia?
The Australian national broadcaster has not yet confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2025. Australia was invited to participate in Eurovision 2015 as a one-off event for the contest’s 60th anniversary celebrations. However, after the country reached fifth place in its first participation, the EBU agreed to include it permanently among the countries participating in the competition. Who do we think is most worthy to represent Australia?
Troye Sivan: Known as an LGBTQ+ pop icon, is a 29-year-old Jewish singer, songwriter, and actor of Australian descent born in South Africa. He began his music career in 2006 with a duet with Guy Sebastian, Australia’s representative at Eurovision 2015 who came fifth, and winner of “Australian Idol”. In 2007, he released his first mini-album, “Dare to Dream”. On December 4, 2015, he released his first full album, “Blue Neighbourhood”. The first single released from the album, “Youth“, was his first to enter the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 23. In 2023, he released his latest album “Something to Give Each Other” which includes his famous single, “Rush“. He has collaborated with many famous artists such as Ariana Grande, Tate McRae, and Charli XCX. Troye is an international star who could bring great honor to Australia. With his highly developed career, the competition could certainly benefit his career and give him exposure in smaller European countries, as well as bring Australia an excellent result.
The Kid Laroi: a 21-year-old singer, rapper, and songwriter born in Sydney, Australia. He began his music career in 2016 and released his first song “Blessings” in 2019. He is best known for his collaborative work with American rapper Juice Wrld, who mentored Laroi early in his career after they met on his tour in Australia. Wrld passed away due to an epileptic seizure in 2019. Despite this, in 2020 they released their song “GO” together, which marked The Kid Laroi’s official career breakthrough. At the end of 2020, Laroi released the song “Reminds Me of You“, featuring Juice Wrld, on the anniversary of Wrld’s death. In 2021, he released the final version of his debut album “Fuck Love 3+: Over You”. Another career breakthrough for the singer happened in mid-2021 when he released the single “Stay” with famous pop star Justin Bieber, which gained him worldwide recognition. In 2022, the singer collaborated with the fast-food chain McDonald’s, creating a brand of special meal named after him. He released his new album “The First Time” in 2023. Laroi is a talented rapper who has worked hard throughout his career, collaborated with many artists, and been through a lot in his life while dedicating his career purpose to his beloved mentor Juice Wrld. He could bring Australia an excellent result and easily win the audience’s love.
Joji: George, known as “Joji”, is a 30-year-old singer, rapper, and songwriter born in Japan to a Japanese mother and Australian father. He began his career as a YouTuber under the alias “Filthy Frank” where he uploaded comedic videos on various topics. In 2012, George began his first music career under the character “Pink Guy” and stuck to a humorous and candid music style in line with the content of his YouTube channel. Through his humorous persona, he released one album called “Pink Season” containing 33 songs. During 2015, he began a new music career under the alias “Joji”, focusing on music in the style of pop ballads and sad, emotional songs. George claimed that Joji is not a character, but an accurate reflection of who he is, and this is the career he chooses. Consequently, at the end of 2017, George decided to completely stop all activity on his YouTube channel under the “Pink Guy” persona, thus ending his first music career. He released his first song under the alias Joji, “Will He“, in 2017 along with another single, and released his first album “In Tongues” in 2018. In 2022, he released his new album “Smithereens”. George is an artist with many colors and different styles of music who has gone through many changes in his life and gained experience under all the different personas he chose for himself. His music style is quiet and full of emotion and could bring Australia a high result and capture the hearts of the audience.
Who should represent Israel?
Israel has confirmed participation in Eurovision 2025 and the representative for the next Eurovision will be chosen through the new season of “Hakochav Haba 2025” program, which is expected to air after the holiday season, in the last quarter of the year. So although the chances of these singers actually coming to audition for the reality show are slim, we have chosen the most worthy to represent Israel.
Shahar Tavoch: a 25-year-old singer, actor, and host born in Ramat Gan, Israel. He started his career in 2012-2013 hosting the “Click” program on the Children’s Channel, where participants present videos they published on YouTube, and participated in the prank show “Staaam!”, where various teen stars are pranked. In 2017, he participated in the fourth season of the reality show “Hakochav Haba”, but didn’t pass the first audition. In 2021, he released his first song “Pahdan“. That same year, he also participated in the Festigal. In March 2024, he released the well-known hit “Naughty Body” with singer Agam Buhbut, which went viral on social media. In April 2024, his debut album “Hey, It’s Shahar” was released. Shahar is a pop star, smiley and charming with a captivating personality who has recently risen to prominence in Israel, and he could bring to Israel an amazing result!
Ran Danker: a 40-year-old Israeli singer born in Virginia, USA. He began his music career in 2007 when he released his first album, “Shavim”, in collaboration with musician Elai Botner. In 2019, he began playing Robin Hood in the play “Robin Hood Freedom Fighters”. In December 2020, he participated in “My Festigal”. In March 2021, he released the single “Beit Meshugaim“, which topped the charts for many weeks on many radio stations such as Galgalatz and Echo 99FM. The song was the most played song on Israeli radio for more than a month. In October 2021, he released the single “HaSimla HaHadasha Sheli“. Ran Danker is among the most talented singers in Israel and would represent the country with the greatest pride.
NUNU: A 25-year-old Israeli singer born in Tel Aviv. She began her music career in 2021 when she released her debut single, “Banim“. Later, NUNU released her third single, “Living the Dream“, which gained much love on social media, particularly TikTok. In 2022, for Pride Month, she released the pride song “Cute Boy” with Sagi Kariv, in collaboration with the LGBT party line Forever Tel Aviv. In July 2022, her debut album, “Status”, was released. In 2025, she released the single “OMG“, which reached eighth place on the official Galgalatz chart and 18th place on the Media Forest chart. NUNU has a unique music style that could certainly succeed in the Eurovision contest and would represent us proudly.

Eurovision 2025: The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025. The St. Jakobshalle arena, which will host the competition, is expected to accommodate about 12,000 spectators for each show. The contest will take place in Switzerland following the country’s third historical win with the song “The Code”, performed by singer Nemo. This will be the third time the competition has been hosted in Switzerland, after the contest was held there in 1956 and 1989..
