Who should represent Belgium?
On May 9, the Flemish broadcaster VRT announced that it plans to select the Belgian representative for Eurovision 2025 through the local pre-selection “Eurosong.” The television network has begun reaching out to various artists with offers to participate in the local competition. So, who do we think should represent Belgium?
Pierre De Maere: A 23-year-old pop singer from Brussels, known for his album “Regarde-moi” and a single that won the “Victoires de la Musique” award in 2023. His music blends upbeat pop with deep ballads, and his charisma could captivate the Eurovision audience.
Pommelien Thijs: A 23-year-old singer and actress from Kessel, Belgium. She has released several successful pop singles and is known for her roles in “#Likeme” and “Knokke Off.” Singing in Dutch and English, she could deliver a catchy pop song for Belgium.
Tamino: A 27-year-old Belgian-Egyptian singer and musician from Antwerp. With successful albums “Amir” and “Sahar,” Tamino’s ethnic style combined with European pop could offer Belgium a unique edge.
Who should represent The Netherlands?
Following the disqualification of Dutch representative Joost Klein from the Eurovision 2024 competition, Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS is still considering its steps for Eurovision 2025 and states that the chances of the Netherlands participating are low. Nonetheless, who do we think deserves to represent the Netherlands?
FLEMMING: A 28-year-old pop singer and songwriter who started with the band “Baby Blue” and later pursued a solo career. Known for his Dutch-language album released in 2023, his stage charisma and talent could lead to a strong Eurovision performance.
Sevdaliza: A 36-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer of Iranian-Persian descent, who moved to the Netherlands at age 5. Her international hit “Alibi” showcases her unique voice and style, making her a strong contender for the Netherlands.
Antoon: A 22-year-old singer, rapper, and songwriter from Hoorn, Netherlands. Signed with Warner Music Group, he has completed a sold-out tour and could achieve great success with the right song at Eurovision.
Who should represent France?
The French television network, France Télévisions, has confirmed that France will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will be held in Switzerland. However, they has not yet revealed the process for selecting their representative or the song for the competition. Historically, France Télévisions has used both national finals and internal selections to choose their Eurovision entries, but the specific method for 2025 remains undisclosed.
Yseult: A 29-year-old French singer, songwriter, and model known for her impressive vocal abilities. She gained fame after finishing as the runner-up on “Nouvelle Star,” a French singing competition. Recently, she achieved global recognition with the hit “Alibi,” recorded alongside the singer Sevdaliza, who has been noted as a potential representative for the Netherlands. Yseult’s emotional ballads in French have the potential to secure a strong position for France in the music scene.
Arthur Ely: A French artist known for his relaxed musical style, primarily performing in French. Since starting his career in 2018, he has released several singles and albums. His unique musical atmosphere might lead France to success with the right song.
Nassi: A Moroccan-French singer, rapper, and songwriter who began his career in 2017. He previously attempted to represent France in Eurovision 2018, finishing seventh in the national finals. His experience and successful singles could make him a strong contender.
Who should represent Germany?
The German television network ARD announced that Germany will participate in Eurovision 2025, which will be held in Switzerland. Currently, there is no information about the platform through which the German representative and/or song for the competition will be chosen, but there are rumors about the establishment of a new selection process for the competition. Who do we think is most suitable to represent Germany?
Ski Aggu: A 26-year-old rapper known for his energetic performances and catchy rap songs. His career began in 2020, and he has gained popularity through festival performances. With a captivating rap entry, he could achieve a good result for Germany.
Grossstadtgeflüster: A German electropop band based in Berlin, known for their unique style and viral hits. Although they previously denied plans to participate in Eurovision, their electropop-rap style could potentially bring success if they reconsider.
