According to a local news site, the Croatian Eurovision national selection will take place on March 2 and will be hosted in the city of Opatija, Croatia. Who are the most prominent songwriters from the revealed list?

The Croatian national broadcaster HRT officially revealed the list of participants for the Croatian Eurovision pre-selection, “Dora 2025,” along with their song titles. The chief editor of the selection process disclosed a significant improvement in song quality and substantial changes to the voting format. A local newspaper reported that the Dora final will take place on March 2 in the northern Croatian city of Opatija.

Former Eurovision Representatives Among Songwriters

HRT officially released the list of songwriters for the pre-selection competition, which includes writers from various countries and former Eurovision representatives: Mia Dimšić, Croatia’s representative at Eurovision 2022, co-wrote the song “Through the dark” for contestant Marko Tolja. Matej Zec, a member of the band Let 3 who represented Croatia at Eurovision 2023, collaborated on the song “SALUT!” for Jelena Radan.

New Judging Panel and Voting System

This year, the judging panel will consist of seven entirely new juries. The judging system, which will remain the same as last year, will combine an international jury from four Eurovision-participating countries with local juries from various Croatian cities. The jury vote will be combined with the public vote, maintaining a 50:50 ratio. Additionally, the production team is considering introducing an online voting system for the first time, departing from previous years’ practices.
