The Croatian national broadcaster reveals that another contestant in the Eurovision selection “Dora 2025” has been disqualified! Who is the new participant taking her place?

The Croatian national broadcaster HRT revealed about a month ago the official list of participants in the Croatian Eurovision selection, “Dora 2025”, which will take place on March 2. Now, it has been disclosed that singer Natalie Balmix has been disqualified from the Eurovision selection due to major changes she made to her song! According to the selection process rules, withdrawn contestants will be replaced by one of the four backup songs for the selection, similar to last year when, due to the withdrawal of one of the contestants, the second-place winner and public vote favorite in Eurovision 2024, Baby Lasagna, earned his place in the Eurovision selection and eventually won it.

Balmix is not the first singer to not participate in the Eurovision selection after being chosen, preceded by the withdrawal of LSQ in collaboration with Lara. Balmix will be replaced in the Croatian selection by Fenksta with the song “Ekstra”. The Croatian Eurovision selection songs are supposed to be revealed the day after tomorrow – January 9, 2025.

Last year, contestant Zsa Zsa withdrew from the Croatian Eurovision selection “Dora 2024” and was replaced by Baby Lasagna, with the song “Rim tim tagi dim” which quickly became a favorite to win the Eurovision selection, won it by a large margin, and even brought Croatia second place in Eurovision 2024 and first place in public voting – the best result achieved in the competition’s history.
