Tonight at 22:00 CET, the grand final of “UMK 2025” will take place, at the end of which the representative and song representing Finland at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, will be chosen. Finland will be the 10th country to reveal its song for the international competition, following Montenegro, Albania, Luxembourg, Greece, Slovenia, Belgium, Spain, Ireland and Ukraine. Six contestants will participate in the local pre-selection tonight, with the winner to be selected by a jury panel comprising 25% of the total vote, and an additional 75% from the general public.

Six acts will compete tonight at Tampere’s Nokia Arena, hosted by Sanni and Jasmin Beloued. The winner will be determined by a combined vote (75% public, 25% international jury).

According to betting odds for the Finnish national selection, currently Erika Vikman leads with a 64% chance of winning, while Viivi is in second place with a 15% chance, followed by Goldielocks in third with a 12% chance. YouTube view counts also favor Vikman, whose song has garnered over 900,000 views, followed by Nelli Matula with 615,000 views, and Neea River with 610,000 views.

Finland in Eurovision 2024

“No Rules” is the name of the song performed by Windows95man, which was chosen to represent Finland after winning the Finnish national final. Finland advanced to the final after placing seventh in the first semi-final with 59 points, and in the grand final, they reached 19th place with 38 points. This is the fourth consecutive time Finland has qualified for the final, matching their qualification streak between 2006-2009.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Finland’s 58th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Finland joined the competition in 1961 and achieved its best result in Eurovision 2006, winning the contest with Lordi and their song “Hard Rock Hallelujah”.
