Members of the Euromix editorial team convened to vote for the competing songs in Polskich Kwalifikacji 2025. Who should represent Poland at Eurovision according to the editorial team?

The Polish Eurovision national selection, “Polskich Kwalifikacji 2025”, is set to take place tonight at 20:45, featuring 11 contestants. The winner of this local competition will represent Poland at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. In anticipation of this event, Euromix editorial team members gathered to listen to the participating songs and select their favorites from the Polish national selection.

Editorial Picks: Who Should Represent Poland?

Avi Zaikaner: First Place – Teo – “Immortal”

Teo brings an excellent ballad to the Eurovision pre-selection that is so different from what Poland has sent to Eurovision in recent years. I assume Teo’s chances of winning the pre-selection are not high, but the truth is that this year seems to be shaping up as a year of upbeat pop songs chosen so far for Eurovision, and such a strong ballad is definitely missing and could easily get them into the final.

Ofek Jerassi: First Place – Justyna Steczkowska – “Gaja”

This year’s Polish pre-selection was unpredictable, with many original, Polish songs, something that Eastern European countries haven’t done much in past years but has been experiencing a revival in recent years. Above all stood the song “Gaja” by Justyna Steczkowska, Poland’s representative for Eurovision 1995 who is trying to make a comeback to the competition for the second year in a row. The song brings Justyna as if she’s a witch from an Eastern European folklore tale, it’s powerful, and it highlights Justyna’s great voice in all its glory. I really want to see this song on stage, Justyna is known for her special performances, as we saw her with her song “Sama” thirty years ago, and I’m very interested to see the change she has undergone in the last thirty years as an artist!

Aviad Berger: First Place – Justyna Steczkowska – “Gaja”

Wow!!! I fell in love with the Polish pre-selection, probably one of my favorite pre-selections this season, if not the most favorite. So many worthy songs, and above all, “Gaja” by Justyna Steczkowska. I admit I wasn’t a fan of her song that was up for selection against Luna, but wow! I fell in love with this song, this is the right choice, Poland, don’t mess it up!!!

Ronnie Glik: First Place – Justyna Steczkowska – “Gaja”

In the Polish pre-selection, I chose the most amazing and iconic woman in Europe, the divine Justyna Steczkowska! Our woman returns this year too, with a significantly stronger song (in my opinion) than last year with which she came second in the internal selection. The song “Gaja” is one of the craziest and strongest songs I’ve ever heard, with vibes of a definite Eurovision winner or at least top 5. The perfect Justyna knows how to perform in the most charismatic and exciting way possible, she will bring an out-of-this-world performance and together with the addictive song will undoubtedly win the pre-selection and Eurovision itself! Good luck to the legend!

Guy Solo: First Place – Chrust – “Tempo”

A very disappointing pre-selection for Poland this year. I don’t think any of these songs can make it to the final in Basel. The only song that is somewhat listenable in my opinion is “Tempo” by the band Chrust. A song with a cute and different rhythm, although not standing out too much in my eyes and remaining in the realm of familiar alternative pop. The song deals with the experience of speed and fluctuations of emotions when dealing with challenging situations, while incorporating natural metaphors like rain and soft ground, to describe an overall feeling of dynamism and instability. In short, Poland, go back to internal selection or send Ochman again (and this time without unnecessary effects, it’s not needed).

Maayan Eli: First Place – Justyna Steczkowska – “Gaja”

Justyna Steczkowska really has no competition in the Polish pre-selection this year. An excellent song and the clear choice to win. The song is dramatic with electronic touches. The chorus and melody play in your head even after listening. It has something dark and vampiric that belongs to the realms of urban fantasy and could fit into a movie or video game soundtrack. You can always appreciate a song in its original language, especially when it sounds good and there’s no feeling that you really need to understand what she’s singing about. “Gaja” sounds great, and with a dramatic performance, it will undoubtedly stand out. I’m looking forward to seeing Steczkowska on the Eurovision stage this year.

Shahar Asido: First Place – Sw@da x Niczos – “Lusterka”

A pre-selection that is simply one big disappointment and therefore I don’t have much to elaborate on. The song that stood out to me the most is “Lusterka” which can bring uniqueness to the Eurovision stage, on the other hand, it’s very repetitive and therefore even if chosen, in my opinion, it needs a renewed version. Poland is simply a disappointment.

Tal Dahan: First Place – Justyna Steczkowska – “Gaja”

I chose Justyna’s song, an incredible singer who performed one of my favorite Eurovision songs of all time (“Sama” from Eurovision 1995). This year, the singer returned to the Eurovision pre-selection after undoubtedly should have represented her country last year as well and would have achieved a much higher position. The song “Gaja” is a wild and captivating song, and the singer will show Eurovision fans in Basel who’s the boss here! We can only pray that the right choice will be made and Justyna will get to return to the Eurovision stage.

Eurovision 2025: This will be Poland’s 27th participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Poland joined the competition in 1994 and achieved its best result that same year when singer Edyta Górniak reached second place with the song “To nie ja!”.
